- Framestore delivered a wide range of VFX work on the latest series of Peter Morgan’s streaming mega-hit The Crown, including a number of digital environments and crowd work as well as a photoreal CG stag that the production team at times didn’t believe was digital.

I knew there was vfx in this series but not that much. Incredible

I am literally you watching you guys turn these things on and off and still believe everything is real. Amazing!
I very much want to see more of this type of material on The Crown, proper in-depth behind the scenes features including in-depth VFX making.ofs. Because it has the air of "realism" about it and is design to appeal to a general audience who watch it like it's a soap opera and don't think or care about such things, we're not allowed to have them. Fleeting 3 1/2 minutes of not really much for an entire season is the best we get. In reality this show is just as much a VFX and CGI work of creation as the likes of Game of Thrones (on obvious parallel miles the fantasy elements) and Disney+ shows such as The Mandalorian.
Ok, you got me. I could recognize CGI in some of these shots, but many of them I did not! Amazing job!

Great work. But SHAME on the producers for cutting costs by not hiring crowds of background actors. Hopefully the new deal will get rid of this. Obviously no ill will towards to the VFX house and artists. They’re just doing their jobs.
