    I love it! A bit of constructive criticism; don't move your stencils before you need to, it left some strange, and rather unfavorable marks around the planets.
    But you have given me the courage to try this on my laptop! I'll start with paper first, because I've never done these astral designs before!
    Also, for a good finish on the paint follow these steps (to remove the "Orange peel" effect, Its extra work, but its worth it):
    1.Try to use thinner, more even coats of paint. This will be difficult since you're not painting simple designs, but never let the paint clump in certain spots.
    2. Once the paint has fully dried up and cured (this can take a day or two depending on the brand of paint) sand it lightly with 600-1000 grit sandpaper, if you sand it too heavily, it may ruin some of the thinner layers of paint. (This will reduce the lumps on your paint, and make it easier for the finish to stick to).
    3. clean the laptop's surface from the recently sanded paint with a slightly wet towel, followed by a dry paper towel to help dust off any remaining dirt.
    4. Spray on a clear coat to seal the color and help protect the paint. Start with a thin, but even layer, wait 5 minutes, apply a slightly thicker layer, wait another 5 minutes and apply the last, and thickest layer, making sure not to spray too thick. (This will fill the tiny scratches made by the sandpaper, it'll also stop the clear coat from peeling off over time, and will make a surface smoother than a baby's bottom).
    5. If there are any lumps, you can sand it again, and reapply the clear coat until you're satisfied.
    6. Enjoy the 'new car' look!

    What type of paint do you use? Is Acrylic or Lacquer Paint safe? A lot of websites suggest I use Acrylic paint but most spray paint bottles give’s flammable warnings, and a lot of websites say that it will become combustible once it dries, has it effected the temperature in anyway? What if its just a bit of paint?

    When I was in America (California. Quite a few years ago…) I watched someone painting like this. It’s very unique and interesting because it seems like there’s a lot of backwards as they’re going forwards in whatever they’re making
    I’m considering painting my own laptop because the original design is quite ugly (simple black base with the logo in orange), but I’m worried about messing up. I’m also worried about BREAKING my laptop from you know… paint being wet. Paint could get into the cracks and holes which could break functions or the entire laptop. Does anyone know of a safer way to do this? Like, do laptop cases exist? And if so, are they ugly lol

      If you were to do something like this you could mask off the edges and cracks on the laptop to prevent paint from getting in them! Just use painters tape around the edge and on the hinges. You can see in the video that they have some painters tape on the hinge of the laptop.
      You can also practice on a piece of cardboard shaped like your laptop to make sure you're confident you won't mess it up. If you do, you can always just paint over it!

    Hello, didn't the laptop smell badly after this? Or should it? I'm planning to paint my laptop too, but I don't want it to smell much long. Please reply, anyone. Thank you

    • @sunnysprayart
      @sunnysprayart  3 года назад

      no it didn’t. but it could depend on what spray paint (brand) you use. you can just try it on something similar.

      @BTSKOOKIE 9121 you should never use acetone. my sister spilled acetone on my laptop before and it left a white stain. basically it ate away the plastic of my laptop and it also damaged the inside. it stoped working and i had a but a new one. yikes.
