When was the last time you ever heard a Black man say "Let's go watch a Tyler Perry production?" Like never. You only go if your girl takes you. His movies always go for the stereotype of Black people and always show brothers as the villain. Scoey and Robert were being polite by not calling out Tyler on this. Hollywood has never liked Black people. They usually only let one or two make the big money at one time...Poitier, Pryor, Washington, Murphy, Hart, etc. The only way Blacks will get the balance discussed in the video is when Blacks pool their resources together and make and distribute content on our own.

I love my black people but today it seems like it’s more important just to be paid instead of portraying a good images....people like Mitchell ,Robert hooks and Esther Rolle fought hard in Hollywood and they broke Barriers idown for us to have good roles in Hollywood and here we go back to Shuckin and Jivin’ In the name of money.

Sorry guys, I go way back with Scoey Mitchell (nee Michll). What were the contract differences with ABC and producer William P. D'Angelo that got him fired from "Barefoot in the Park" in 1970? I loved that show. I felt it had tremendous promise, coming one year after "Julia." I felt it was time to compete with "Love on a Rooftop," "Bewitched," "The Brady Bunch," "The Second Hundred Years," and all the other moderately successful white comedies of the time, which I all also loved, by the way. I felt that "Barefoot in the Park" with Mitchll and Reed were charting the future, but then the rug was yanked out from under the dream after only 12 episodes. What happened, Scoey? You broke my heart because I loveed that show and it was OUR time. What happened, dude?

I"m a little worn over people criticizing shows like Good Times & The Jeffersons. Those shows were iconic. Why must we, so called proud people, put down one Black show, (The Jeffersons) in order to hail another Blk show (The Cosby Show). Why can't we celebrate ALL shows?

Jeez, television has never been better fellas. The greatest shows of all time are being created today. However, I agree there is too much sex and graphic violence. If I want sex i'll watch porn. I'm embarrassed to watch half the shows out there today with other people. And the blood spurting violence doesn't add anything to the show. We've had enough of that now. I'm not saying "no violence." But shows have been trying to one up one another by getting increasingly nasty. I think they've pretty much reached bottom of the barrel in that department.
