I’ve watched MVP from point fighting all the way to now. He does know how to box and has a complete arsenal. But his *game* revolves around the concept of *blitzing.* Once you know that, you’ll understand why he does what he does. And it’s highly effective so he doesn’t need to change it. Never really been a guy who initiates with combos or anything.

I was an advocate for MVP to come to the UFC but he’s looked washed and gunshy since he’s been here. Looks scared to get hit, no good technical kicks anymore. Only throws that dumb, goofy lunging right hand that makes him slip or puts him in bad position half the time. Step it up man you’re getting older. Step on the gas while you still have some in the tank
or maybe he should improve his grappling and do everything he can to improve... which is what he's doing, he didn't accept a grappling match with Condit for fun, he's clearly trying to improve.. stop hatin
If asking Shara to strike is what you call trying to grapple then some of you are more causal than I thought. He’s a great striker, I don’t think he has what it takes to be a complete MMA fighter and that’s that. There are straight killers in his division and they don’t even have both eyes.

MVP gone borin since he landed on the best platform at the UFC?
He always throws 10 strikes a round mostly right hands. Against Bellator cans he was able to get KOs. Not in UFC.
