The safety lock seems unneeded until you drive through Kansas when the High Plains wind is blowing 50 on a sunny day. I had my awning unfurl while driving. The wind get under the roller and pushes it away from the RV. Yikes!
My Zip Dee support arm just cracked and that cracked the rod that rolls the tarp. They haven't changed the design in 40 years. Maybe it is time to think about improvements? These things are the single worst part of owning an airstream.
Great video. Every Airstream owner should watch this.
Best video I've seen on this.
Thanks. This demonstration was so much better than the tech that showed me how to use the awning when I bought my airstream.
I know it is quite off topic but does anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online ?
@Cole Francis Flixportal xD
@Jaxson Alberto Thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it!!
@Cole Francis You are welcome xD
Great instruction
Very nice instructional video. Enjoyed watching it.
Excellent resource as we are new owners. Also, I love your overalls. Where can I find them?

What do you do if the strap gets trapped up there?
I had that happen! One person at each end pulls out the awning and the strap will fall down.
Not at modern as I expected on an expensive trailer.
Modern isn't necessarily better.
