battle rap is getting to where wrestling got for me years ago, the back stories, vlogs, reviews are becoming more interesting than the matchups in a lot of cases

What Illmac said regarding watching basketball comparably to battles is very accurate. IDGAF about football one bit, but if I watch the Super Bowl I can get into it. I know maybe two rules, and the general idea, but I can tell if they do something good or wrong often times. I don't need to know the game to appreciate it.
Most people don't appreciate lyrics, in general, because they're not writers. Writers look at writing significantly more different, and it skews our perception of what is good/bad compared to a non-writer. In both good and bad ways - you can catch good writing the non-writers wouldn't, but it could still fall flat to anyone who isn't a writer. On the other hand you could think something is bad from a writing perspective that's generally good otherwise, as well as being "bored" or desensitized to good writing (especially if you're a good writer yourself) like Nocando for instance.

Benjamin Benson Pat used to be so good but I feel like he's lost motivation. He could have beaten clips, but didn't. He should have beaten "bigg k" but didn't. And it's like he doesn't even try anymore. The new pat is too arrogant and thinks that he's still as good as he used to be.

Math somehow got fcked up in the point he tried to outperform his Diz altercation. Like... He tried be the tough bully guy against Bigg K but somehow you could see, the anger was more against Diz and his whole situation. As in.. somehow trying to proof his fans, the culture, and maybe even himself, he tougher than the footage we seen in the LA situation.
And K just did what he does. So he came off 1000 times more comfortable and won this hands down.
I think Math found his perfect lane now though. His MEO show is pretty dope! Good way to transition that career. Because it would be sad to see him go down and kill his legacy.
