Hornady always does that with my 45acp. I stopped using them and use Sig Sauer vcrown

Sig ammo does the same thing. I reload all my ammo and use a light factory taper crimp solves the issue.

30:00 You can also take firing pin off to minimize risks when doing feeding tests.

..just forgot to mention that you need a brass/steel/whatsoever substitute pin, to keep firing pin stop and extractor in place. Easy job with a lathe.

Hey! Happy my suggestion seemed to do some good!
Gotta fix that bulging mag next it seems pretty dang bad. Did you take some measurements to find where/why it's distorting?
I think I recall you discussing magazines in a previous video but I don't remember your conclusions or which video they were in. What lead you to the EAA mags? TBH they don't seem like great quality if they're bulging like that.

I didn't take the time to work on the bulging-mag issue today, as I spent awhile editing the video after doing the work.
I don't believe there are any other magazines that will work in this frame for 10mm. Even the EAA mags needed some machining to get them to work.

@@jayphilipwilliams I did a little searching about EAA mag problems and one thing I read about that you may want to check for before you modify the other two mags are rounds going excessively nose-up under recoil.
The gun itself is a beautiful piece of work....just the mags holding it back now!
Edit: On further reflection they might have just been experiencing the same problem you just addressed and misdiagnosed it. Still have to test it I suppose.

I would just take it to the range and run some rounds through it! let it break in naturally! that way you don't file more then needs to be taken off!

With a bedroom on the other side of the wall why not just use snap caps or something and not take the risk
Edit: wait never mind you answered in the video
