Peace and Blessings to you Metropolitan Demetrius. Your sermons always had a great impact in my heart, it touches me deeply. I would like to offer a humble apology on behalf of the Ottoman empire who at that time in rebellion against the Word of God the Quran and our Prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon Him) had persecuted the Christians. Unfortunately that is never the way of Islam. God and our beloved Messenger always calls us to walk in the path of peace, mercy and love. I pray that one day we Muslims would recognize the truth about the Ottoman and would deeply apologize to the entire Orthodox Christian world. I also pray for the love and affection between us for I see that we are just in the same path, struggling to preserve our faith at this age of darkness. My love and greetings to my beloved orthodox christians❤
2nd time listening to this today. I am in AZ. I heard it 1st live coming home from our monastery service it made me cry this morning when playing in car from live stream and again now at home this same evening. The thoughts these talk provoke in me are so helpful in reflecting in myself. To realize of myself how I think it is so much work the struggle I go through, the beautiful story of the yiayia and think.. I can think only that I am my own stumbling block I come across. I don't even have to fight that era of what he reminded me of our ancestors when they were under persecution so they had it even harder! The strength they had.. Yes, I am weak.. I am my own persecution, if that makes sense. May God have mercy on all of us! Glory to God for these talks, the enlightenment they give to us from Metropolitan Demetrius. ✝️🙏🏼❤🕊

Courage through Christ who will give it to you. “ Focus on Me, not the storm”. Whoever understands and “ gets it, gets it” as father Savvas A said. Remember faithful people : The Spirit leaves us when we don’t take care of it. Stay pure in your hearts & minds & behaviours because it will be a constant battle to acquire it and keep it. The battle in within us and we must go through tough times of doubt and questioning and tribulations, and feeling down. But faith is unseen. Keep going with fasting and praying for the world and your sins and God always finds a way for His people. Faith and Trust in Our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s not easy, it’s a constant battle especially when living in the real corrupted , dark world. Thank you for the above bishop. May our Lord Jesus Christ keep you well. There is so much darkness , we need to keep spreading light with His love. ✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️✝️ we need to be a living sacrifice, til the end even if it means dying for our Lord. Be bold, be brave, be strong and never let go of Christ, and always always ask for the Saints to pray for you and everyone. The Holy Mother is a great guide.
May we all have the faith and patience of the saints and continue our ascetic struggle
