Sharon doesn't have to actually BE a witch to join the coven. Remember what Agatha said about there being people who are "witchy ENOUGH" to form a coven. And she does seem to have a 'green thumb' so that would make her a "green witch" technically.
Yea. I think the heart was always supposed to lead to Sharon. The universe knows Agatha would get defensive over it maybe being Plaza's character and reach for whoever is nearby instead :p.
Wiccan having three moms (Agatha, Rio, Wanda) with a constellation of messy backstories, lesbian and otherwise, would be incredible lol. I think Teen has got to be Billy Kaplan/Wanda’s son, but the Nicholas Scratch lore/trauma (did Agatha sacrifice her own child??) will probably loom heavily over the Agatha/Teen dynamic. 👀 I’m not sure that Teen is a double agent, but I don’t think he’s as naive and clueless as he’s playing it and is seeking more from the Road than just the ability to “blast” and “levitate.”
Love an Into the Woods reference. I know they're directly referencing Wizard of Oz in the show, but it feels a little Into the Woods-y too, especially if the episodes break down into individual tasks/challenges on the road or obtaining specific totems/items.
I think the animals are either omens of the Salem Seven or the Salem Seven individually, or six of them anyway. They’re identified as Snake, Crow, Fox, Rat, Coyote, and Owl. And then there’s Vertigo I think Mrs Davis could possibly be an unrealized witch. Wanda didn’t realize she was one most of her life I commented last reaction that Teen was reported to be the Billy Kaplan version of Wiccan, Billy Maximoff’s reincarnation. We’ve got two other Kaplans in the cast list. Ofc we’re getting the kid’s backstory eventually, I assume those will be his parents. Given how old he is, I would think there needs to be some timey wimey stuff if they go the reincarnation route
Are those identifications from the comics? It's different in the show. The Salem Seven can turn into the animals and the animals are right except remove vertigo and add cicada as the final one. Vertigo is the character name, not the animal.
@@uosdwiSrdewoH It’s on the show’s page on wikipedia. And yeah I know it’s not an animal name, that’s why I said _six_ of them, and added Vertigo at the end
So about the Wizard of Oz idea. Teen says the Road will give you what you most desire at one point. He then later says it will give you what you are missing. Oz - "a home, a brain, a heart, da nerve." But what does Agatha say to the witches when she wants to anger them? "Coward. Fraud. Disappointent." So not a one to one map for the Oz crew, but an echo.
In the basement Agatha tries to provoke the witches by calling them "coward" (Patti), "fraud" (Sasheer), and "disappointment" (Ali). So Lilia lacks courage, Jennifer lacks care for her victims, and Alice is afraid of her powers (which, are both orange in colour, and Agatha points to her when she sings "fire"). Hmm... which character in the Wizard of Oz was afraid of fire?As for the set... the cast have been raving about how huge it was. It took up an entire warehouse and you had to be careful to not ACTUALLY get lost in it.
Did you know Joe Locke (Teen/Toto) just played Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd alongside Sutton Foster and Aaron Tviet? From the bootleg phone recordings from the audience up on RUclips, I found out he is a fantastic stage singer.
If you look back at some of the past MCU shows, they are peppered with Wizard of Oz references, sometimes obscure enough to be considered Easter eggs (or maybe breadcrumbs...another witch reference!). Just like the WoO, this series starts with a wicked witch (of Westview?) who was crushed by a house. In the comics, Blackheart is the son of Mephisto, the Devil. Not sure if they're alluding to something like that or just using a common phrase. One other cool reference: the way the group was shot in a basement with the camera giving quick one-shots to the character delivering a line ending with someone delivering a zinger. Very "That 70s show"esque.
🎉 I've been haunting your channel - yes, I went there! - for this ever since you dropped episode 1! Yay! I do think Teen is Wiccan, Wanda's son Billy. However, I'm not really trying to out guess and pin a dozen theories on this, I'm just glorying in every wonderful awesome second and letting it take me where it wants to go! The Ballad of the Witches Road is absolute fire 🔥 🔥🔥🔥!!! I loved every second of your reactions to this! Random thought...remember Teen chanting in the interrogation room in the first episode? I think maybe he did break the spell Agatha was under...hmmmn. Also, about the Road... Everyone (except for Sharon possibly) is on the Road because they want something. But the Road doesn't give you what you want. It gives you what you NEED. Two possibly very different and mutually different things! That's going to be interesting in terms of character arcs! And omg, please! Sharon aka "Mrs. Hart" must be protected at all costs! She is a delight! Can't wait for Episode 3, and also for y'alls reaction to it! You guys give me life! Blessed Be, witches!
People who say Teen being Billy would be “obvious” are burdened by spoiler knowledge (comic books or elsewhere). Because if all you know is what has been shown on screen in the MCU, there is no reason why would think Teen is the “reincarnated” son of Wanda. The last we heard about Billy and Tommy was in Doctor Strange 2, when it was established they exist in every universe except this one.
As the series progresses, and more details are revealed about Agatha’s past (particularly her son Nicholas)… both Agatha and the viewers will be lead to believe that Teen could somehow be Nicholas. Then surprise, actually he is the “reincarnated” son of Wanda instead.
So funny that one of the things that I kept focusing on your two reactions so far is Jessa's shirt. I literally have the exact same shirt and have been wondering if it was to early to where it. 😂
The animals seen around are witches. Each member of the Salem Seven can transform into an animal. There's a crow, rat, coyote, fox, snake, owl and a cicada because why not.
Here's my wild theory regarding Teen/Billy. I think he's from another universe and he lost his mom and brother. He got hold of the darkhold(black fingertips tells us he used the darkhold). Used it to go universe hopping looking for his mom and brother. But than got stuck in our universe after our Wanda destroyed all of the darkholds. That's my theory.
in the closed caption from overseas broadcast, when he speaks it starts with Billy:.. Agatha had a son named Nicholas Scratch whom she sacrificed to get the Dark Hold back in Salem
@@SW-lx3lu I think Agatha is not taking the road to get her powers back or just to get her powers back but to resurrect her son, through his hair in the locket. Similarly, I think Billy wants to resurrect Wanda!
The Salem Seven are the children of Evanora Harkness’ coven that Agatha killed. Teen was identified as “Billy” by closed captioning in Spain, btw. I think the rabbit “Señor Scratchy” is Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch. More random trivia, Dottie Jones is probably Arcanna Jones, aka Moonglow-a yellow witch.
I like your videos! I really would love for this to be less about Wanda and more about Agatha. But I do think that is Billy Kaplan it’s too obvious. 24:46 girl yes. I think that he could be billy and Nicholas scratch. But that little black curl and the investment they did in finding a boy with chemistry with Kathryn . It feels like their bond is deep.
I have a theory: Mrs Hart, sry, Mrs Davis, will be the big baddy. First she stops "Toto" from running away, then she joins the party, then she's the one who points out that the door is there? Also, how did the door appear in the first place if the green witch wasn't Mrs Davis? "Toto" or "Teen" (whatever the real name is) did not sing the ballad with them. So who is the green witch neccessary to access the road? One possibility would be Aubrey Plaza's character if she hid nearby AND sang the ballad at the same time. Another one would be that maybe one of the Salem Seven is a green witch. Other than that I only see Mrs Davis.
Notice how he was parked in front of Wanda’s house hint, I guarantee you by the end you will see Wiccan emerge, maybe Tommy too, I think they’re going to speed up their origin story
Agatha said about covens. Witchy enough. Maybe kitty as a Gardner with a green thumb is witch enough. I mean teen was there but not participating in the song.
I love that! I assumed there would be a connection and I thought maybe it was those witches in zombie form. But being their children is cool... vengeance is an understandable motive
Always love your reactions! Get why you'd associate Wiccan with earth/green magic, but Marvel just kinda took that word without any of the associations. He's a massively powerful magic wielder, but that's the only overlap. His magic is actually blue, just saying...
Alex mentioned the MCU a couple times. I don't think this necessarily has to be connected to Marvel. Wanda brought in a witch who has a different back story that is unrelated to super heroes.
“Being a witch is innately sapphic.”
And no truer words have been spoken
Sharon doesn't have to actually BE a witch to join the coven. Remember what Agatha said about there being people who are "witchy ENOUGH" to form a coven. And she does seem to have a 'green thumb' so that would make her a "green witch" technically.

“Where’s the brother”? “He ran somewhere really fast” 😂😂😂😂😂
"This is my familiar, Toto" literally killed me!
Can you imagine having to call Patti pitchy?
After the scene you'd be like "I'm sorry I'm so sorry!"
Wiccan having three moms (Agatha, Rio, Wanda) with a constellation of messy backstories, lesbian and otherwise, would be incredible lol. i feel the same. all the characters have a “wish” and have to venture into the woods (the road)
The crow, the rat, and the coyote are each a familiar of members of the Salem Seven from the comics.
You missed the owl, just before the S7's arrival. That's the 4th familiar.
I think the animals are either omens of the Salem Seven or the Salem Seven individually, or six of them anyway. They’re identified as Snake, Crow, Fox, Rat, Coyote, and Owl. And then there’s Vertigo

Agreed, it would make sense that they would be the Sevens familiars

good point on the heart reference in Wandavision! It does involve Mrs. Hart too (if i also remember it correctly)

Yeah I feel so many ppl try to make the show up to be the ''resurrection of Wanda'' when we finally have more witches with diverse abilities
the animals are well known salem witches and ancient witches familars (ex. Rats , Cats, Crows, Coyotes etc) common animals
I have a theory: Mrs Hart, sry, Mrs Davis, will be the big baddy. First she stops "Toto" from running away, then she joins the party, then she's the one who points out that the door is there?

the salem seven were orginally in the comics agathas grandchildren
Wiccan(Billy) is gay and Speed(Tommy) is bi say all Wanda’s kids a pretty queer
Most people are at least a little bi. They just won’t admit it. 😂😂
24:08 will we get a witches’ rap?
Notice how he was parked in front of Wanda’s house hint, I guarantee you by the end you will see Wiccan emerge, maybe Tommy too, I think they’re going to speed up their origin story
2:05 I’m gonna start writing the script and give you story credit lol
Agatha said about covens. Witchy enough. Maybe kitty as a Gardner with a green thumb is witch enough. I mean teen was there but not participating in the song.
I'm guessing there is a reason Wanda "branded" her Mrs Hart. Maybe she sensed something about her.
Apparently the Salem 7 are the children of the witches Agatha killed when she killed her mother
I love that! I assumed there would be a connection and I thought maybe it was those witches in zombie form. But being their children is cool... vengeance is an understandable motive

Wanda's children are kinda imaginary. No human body. So it would be very powerful if the body is Agatha's son.
