I ordered one - thanks to this awesome channel. So far the wheel covers are painted aluminum, scale-weighted it out to 2kg (3kg goal), added 2mm wheel spacers in rear, 1mm up front, pulled foams and bead-locks out and air-filled/ sealed the tires, working on finding stiffer springs for a lift. These operate so scale it's out of this world. Only drawback is classic FMS gearing it too low -too much wheel speed - in high & low. P408 on the way, nonetheless this FMS is shockingly top-notch.
These would be perfect for younger teens or kids that play with little action figures ❤️ kind of expensive for a child but manageable for an adult on a budget not looking to replace enough parts to call it a build or rig ❤ I think FMS has a greater nitch market keeping it simple and affordable. Not everyone can even afford a high end Walmart car that will last so this is a far better investment for the price and features.
Some of us in the GI Joe community are very excited for this RC as it seems to fit figures right out of the box. But some are saying it's too small. Can you give your opinion on how close in size it is maybe vs the HG P408?
I don't have one of these Hummers, but the figures riding in the truck in this video look great. And I think they're GI Joe Classified, right? I don't have the HG P408 either, but 6 inch figures generally seem too small in 1/10 trucks I think. I'm waiting for my FCX24 Blazer to be delivered to see how 3.75 guys look riding in it 😎
@@insomnia7337 you are correct, they are GI Joe Classified, and seeing them in this video made me very happy. Most of the time I order a 1:12 RC for my figures it's a big "hope" that it will fit. Pretty much every time there will have to be something that need cut in order to fit. I agree, 1:10 is too big and sometimes 1:12 is too small, China is not known for their accuracy when it comes to scaling.
Thanks for the review! So it seems like a suspention lift may not be possible. What about a body lift? Could you put 1/2 inch standoffs on the six screws holding the body to lift it up? Then you could put on bigger tires!
@@RCReviewChannel 👍Do you know the thread size of the 6 screws that hold the body on by any chance? I will have mine in a few days and I would like to get standoffs for it.
Quick question do you know where everything plugs back in when you took it apart because I fried my esc and I got a new one and forgot where everything goes
Pretty nice!! FMS does an amazing job scale wise but i just dont get into the small scale side of things. Other than the fcx24, there is zero aftermarket for fms and it sucks. Hopefully theyll keep expanding into the 1/10 scale side. I got their recent relased 1/10 scale and its basically just an even cheaper version of an injora chassis lol.
What is the biggest tire that can fit with the body off without rubbing the frame rails? Either I could do a 1/4 inch body lift with 3.6 inch Capra tires (42 inch real) or a 1/2 inch body lift with 4.0 inch tires (48 inch real). Do you think the servos are strong enough to steer the 4.0 inch tires? I should be getting the H1 on Saturday. I can't wait!
I got my H1 the other day. I installed 6 brass standoffs lifting the body 1/2 inch to make room for bigger tires. After searching for tires at a few hobby shops, I decided on the 3.6 inch Nitto Trail Grapplers that the 1/18 Axial Capra uses. They are a good fit and look nice. That comes out to a 42 inch tire in real life. I would not recommend anything bigger. The clearance is a little better but a suspension lift would help too.
So basically it's an upgraded Walmart RC. I can't imagine that the servos are metal. I have a Tamyia Hummer, and it actually loos more life like and you can change the wheels and other things out on it. This is not a hobby grade rc at all. If it breaks you will not be able to fix it and it work like it was new again. Nice looking truck, but not worth it in my opinion.
@@jameshankssr466 I actually do, and these are not upgradeable with other parts like he stated. If you watched the video you would have understood my point. But according to your response you just watched the video with no sound. i.e. upgrading the the servos, esc, motor, shocks. Read before you respond.
This thing…I dunno. I just don’t like it. It seems on one hand to go for the super scale world, then it randomly has 4ws. Not my thing, but hey, that’s ok too.
Geez who would want it if you couldnt stick 3x the amount of money into it... Maybe just pull a trailer you mount a paper shredder in. Then you can flex my shredding bills
FMS went too far with this vehicle. What is the sense in having 4WS if you cant crawl with it, the vehicle looks great but the 4WS Is just an extra gadget that isn`t needed, I am not a fan.
hay bud, a little disappointed about another hummer video. why not rlaarlo ak917. there is a competition going on and maybe some alterative budget electronics. idk but im good with this hummer for now
Just not impressed with any FMS products. Seems like one step up from Wal-Mart. The scale aspect is nice, but not my thing. Great job on reviews though.

Hoping for a 6 scale version of this.
Super wow! Now the price is really is not so high. FANTASTIC
Very cool rig! I’d probably look into raising the body somehow! Then install bigger tires
Body lift is def the easier way to go
Hopefully if they make a 1/10 version as well?🤔

Hey, just got this and it is awesome. One problem...how to switch from 4WD to 2WD??

Saludos Amigo genial esta replica tiene muchos detalles muchas gracias y feliz dia
Hi,
Very grateful for you. Is fixing & replacing broken parts as easy as losi and Traxxas?
Thank you
Thank you. Repair is definitely not easy
FMS went bananas and created a beautiful beast with so much scaleness they should win an award 💯 now can any other company compete 🤣
Thanks I was wondering what she looks like under the body

Great video!
Hmmm...I wonder what you'll think up. You forgot the info card to your first review.
I like FMS is kind of doing their own thing making some novel trucks.
You know, that’s. A great way of putting it. Marching to their own beat

You should show a video of what you did
Would you say the wheels are 1.9 or closer to 1.55?
Nice look under the hood.
Has anyone had any hesitation between going forward to reverse? Sometimes I have to push the trigger 3 times to get it to back up.
Yes it seems to do that to me too. Also the reverse seems harder to modulate, more abrupt compared to forward.

Wrong! FMS sells every part for every car they make! If you know nothing about a product dont comment on it!
