Wow I'm glad you both are back together. Your 1st one is truly the one God sent for you. I always believe that. Me and my husband married very young too. We are each other's first but we don't think like you and your wife. We don't regret not having a chance to have fun and date other people. We called ourselves blessed because we are special for not having to date many people. Blessed that he didnt give his body to anyone else beside me and vice versa.

If you didn't want to be in a forced marriage at age 13 or whatever, don't sleep with someone at their house to begin with. You should know OGs don't let that slide. Want to act like an adult, adults will serve you adult consequences. Stay a good kid in school and you wouldn't be in this mess. Good for you two that you both came to terms as mature adults. Teach your kids your mistakes so they don't go around doing that you both did too.
I agree. When you're young, your mindset is different. As you grow older, you'll eventually realize what you want and need in your life and those choices are different from when you were younger. Great life lessons.
It is a good lesson and I agreed that both of you guys know what your mistakes are and willing to comprehend and work together for not just yourself but the kids too. My wife and i got married on our very first date at the park, we went through some hell for 10 plus years but glad we r still together and we had never cheated on each other. I love my wife more then ever now because of life lessons and listening to hmong utube stories like these, it has help strengthen our relationship greatly. Its hard to believe we didnt go through divorce if our story was told.

What a hard lesson to learn. Forced marriage when your only a kid. That’s got to be a nightmare. It’s a Hmong belief that can died off. I consider myself a lucky one because I escaped that situation. My parents were smart.

Hopefully the new generation nowadays parents change the way of dating for our children, because listen to this story and even other stories, we, Hmong people are ending up getting more and more in divorce. That is not a good thing! Cases such as this, we Hmong people could only do to our own kind, but can Not do the same to other races, the parents doesn't have the courage and the mouth to speak to them as their own kind. That's the meanest things to do to your children at a young age. Hopefully we can learn from this story, Hmong people!!!
Well said. We need to change this old way of thinking forcing kids to get married just because they slept together. No need to ruin their lives by forced marriage. There are better alternatives to settle this in today's society.

Don't blame it on the culture. Do you have a daughter? If your daughter always go out with her boyfriend. Are you afraid she might get pregnant? And perhaps he might leave your daughter and leave you to be responsible for your daughter and the baby? That is the reason why Hmong parents forced their daughters to married their boyfriend if anytime they go out late with their boyfriends. Its stupid but it makes sense too.

Brother, you made the right decision to marry your wife again. However, you cannot recommend as you did that everyone should do the same. As you know, some did and ended up worst than before. People divorced for different reason and wished they could come back for different reason. Just tell your story, don't make any general recommendation to everyone else. You made mistakes, and you think you corrected that mistakes by marrying her again, you don't know yet if that decision could destroy you again. Your life has yet to be finished.

Like u said in the beginning that u will leave some parts out. Why ? The story doesn’t make any sense as to what and why their 1st marriage ended. And what happened during their separation? There is more to this story and it doesn’t make any sense. You said you only want to talk about the good part, well that’s not fair at all!
