Some of the best times of my youth were riding the two steep Poma lifts at our local ski resort in Idaho, USA. Some afternoons the operator would speed up the lift until the initial jerk pulled our skis off the ground momentarily. And he'd just throw us the pole as we skied close by. There were times when my skis didn't stop moving for two or three hours straight. Such great memories!
