Did you dismantle the spider or did you just clean it what to do to clean the oil did you take it all apart and put it back together cuz I got oil on mine
Usually yes we take it all the way apart. They get so much gunk on them that it's just easier to get them moving right if you take them all the way off and take the gear out and everything.
I own a Spanish Eyes pinball, I like it, really good pinball game. After we move to are old house, we store the body of the pinball in my grandpa's garage and we kept the pinball head in our garage. However my Grandfather foolishly move the playfield in his backyard and it rain and the water went down inside the body of the pinball machine and he gave it back to me. Joe my question is this... is it possible to fix and get it working?
Absolutely, depending on how much time you want to put into it. How long was it out in the rain? Did it have the glass on it, and how's the paint on the playfield look?
Joe's Classic Video Games it stay in the backyard for 2-3 weeks. I think it rain about 1 or 2 times. The Playfield is in decent condition, just dusty and broken rubber bands. The paint is pretty good.
It's just that's how my 73 Williams darling is doing exactly the same thing the coils all seemed fine all adjusted Gable play it just won't return the ball when the balls in the out hole the score motor just turns
If it's just turning, it's trying to reset something that hasn't told the score motor that it's reset yet. I'll look @ the schematics when I get a chance and see if I can tell what it resets at the end of a ball.
So I was messing with it and I noticed that when the squirrel real was running and it won't kick the ball back out the bonus relay is clicking also so I pushed it a little more and it ended up kicking the ball out but that keeps getting stuck any suggestions
It sounds like the bonus relay must not be making electrical contact on some of those points on it, make sure the switches are touching 'through' each other, so when the relay pulls in, it makes the top blade move the other blade when it touches it, and it should be like that on every set of switches.
Check everything everything's touching everything's resetting I want to post a small video on my channel I guess or how can I get it to you so you can see it that followed your video down to the T thanks again
So hey bud I want to thank you for your videos and I would like you to make more so I did exactly what you said at the end of this video I just stopped and adjusted everything and cleaned every pin make sure they're touching stretch Sand Springs as working fine now but I have not checked to see if they will play two players and I noticed that it's not advancing the ball to ball to ball 3 or two but I want to thank you anyway I'm sure I have more questions for you great help thank you very much
No Problem Randy, glad you got it playing! If it's not advancing those balls it's probably on the ball count unit of course, you'll have to make sure that ones stepping up like it's supposed to.... you're getting there, though!
If took a bit but my Spanish eyes has grown on me. Best way to play this one is to be patient. Don't scissor the ball under the flipper and let the lower poo work for you.
I'm not a huge pinball fan, but I love the pinball troubleshooting and restoration vids.
Thanks Doug... we'll have more soon, i'm working on one right now.
