Installing a StudioRSR roll cage in my E92 M3! It made a HUGE difference. I go over the install and my thoughts in the video. I hope you enjoyed this one!

Should spray some paint on those holes that were drilled so it doesn't rust.
Always watch and enjoy your videos. But sorry that is adding no stiffness to your car. It’s drilled through a floor made of paper, and has no spreader plates fitted underneath. (Needs to be boxed into the actual chassis to add any rigidity).
And the mount on the parcel self is doing nothing apart from holding the main section in place. Without it the main hoop would tear a hole in that floor. The down tube angle looks questionable, and the thought of driving a car with you head that close to a roll cage tube and no helmet is pretty scary.
This cage is just a aesthetic mod, which is cool if that is what you want.
Keep up the videos because I do really enjoy them, and I hope this doesn’t come across that I’m bashing the work, just want to give some constructive criticism
I've never seen him track any of his cars, so it doesn't really matter.

You should get Rear view mirror that comes with a back camera and it’s connects
Dont understand why put a cage in it without have recaros or other bucket seats.

@@guusberkhof8429 Actually if a cars wasn't design to receive a roll cage in the first place those half cages can do more harm than good. Modern roofs don't collapse like in the 70s or 80s, they still do a little bit because the energy still need to be absorbed. With the cage the roof can't always absorb the energy and it ends up being transferred in your body.
It depends on the car and the cage, I'm sure factory cages take all the factors into consideration but I wouldn't be sure for the aftermarket ones

Spencer, looks great bro! Just mirror what others have suggested below. Get the bottom bolts properly secured via a plate or box welded in. Then get it all coated to prevent any corrosion.

Looks great. How much does it weigh? Removing the wing for added visibility may not be a bad idea after all. There is something about the wing that doesn't look right, it just doesn't flow well with the e92 lines in my opinion. I know this is subjective though.
Does your seat still slide all the way back?
Does the cage effect the seating position? Do you need to move the seat forward to make room for the cage? Thinking of getting one for my car.

Yes. Definitely not a safe thing to have in your vehicle if you're rear ended while not wearing a helmet.

Maybe i missed it but did you guys put a plate on the bottom of the car? My buddy put a bolt in cage in his car ended up getting hit from the side pretty good and it just ripped the bolts through the bottom of his car cause he didnt have a plate. The bottom floor pan in these is kinda thin. Just food for thought....Looks great i love the color!

@@unknown_user283 Those half cages are more dangerous than anything. It doesn't let the roof collapse like it's supposed to in a crash.
Look how far back the cage is the M4 GTS compared to the aftermarket ones.
If you look at the photos from Spencer's car you can see that everything in front of the cage is completely flat and collapsed, it wouldn't be that way if there wasn't a cage.
Put a rear view camera on the back of the cage if you can so you keep the wing
I would say, get a backup camera or rear view camera that connects to the rear view mirror.

Dude you need to get bucket seats and some harnesses with a cage like that. Even just getting rear ended you could get seriously get injured. OEM seats and seatbelts were not designed for the extra forces that come from a rigid non-deforming rear crash structure like that. Honestly a helmet would be optimal.

I recently received a cage from them for my Lexus RCF, but it didn't came with any mounting hardware. Contacted them many times but never ship it to me, worst customer support company ever!

I don’t get it how a roll cage in the rear seats works when there is no passengers and the front there is no protection to me is a waist of money and distorting the car for no reason especially when the car just 350hp with all my respect I don’t see this is called new mods actually called new decoration

I drive a 15 meter Bus and I dont dee nothing on the back window. It is absolitely unnecessary. You have 2 mirrors, if you are aware of your sourroundings you can absolutely drive without having a back window.

I can't figure out what is more derpy, that terrible rear wing, or a roll cage that isn't boxed in. All you are doing here is adding weight to the car and making it exponentially more dangerous as a street car.

There is no way a bolt on set of pipes made you think the car was more rigid. It's not even welded to the frame. It looks cool for sure, but you're acting like the kid that took a sip of beer and is now pretending to be drunk.
