Yeah and let them die
By predator, poacher, or starving to death
Can we just like, close all Bad zoo and create some new reglementation for bigger habitat size, more enrichissement, and more natural environnement and have more respect and dignity toward these creature
Ho and also be more ambitious with reintroduction and breeding (but that's not the zoo that can decide that, the country have to say :yes you can introduce this many individuals of this specie there)
Zoo are important
They were horrible back in the 1940 but now a lot of them make an Amazing job to help endangered animals, even some specie were litteraly save specie from extinction
Like przewalksi horse, arabian oryx, californian condor, golden lion tamarin some parrot or some reptile, the gharial and giants tortoises for exemple
It's rare when a zoo is not in a conservation program or made sensibilisation effort to the public or give money to support natural reserve and is in partnership with natural reserve if they don't create some reserve
(because just let them in the wild (if you can find it and have the permission to reintroduce the animal) and breed them don't work, you have to plan the breeding and avoid all cosanguinity problem and have the money, logistic and permission to make a Big wild animal do a journey to another continent generaly in a place with a lot of poacher, or environnement problem like deforestation desease or climate change)
There's still a lot of problem in zoo
Elephant, apes, Bear and Big cat don't have even more than 15 acres in most zoo's
There's not enought reintroduction and we don't Always prepare or kept the natural instinct of the animal to survive in the wild and let the people on the terrain do all of that stuff
Or the fact that animal don't really like the tourist noise
(Or kept animal in a totaly different climate, generaly they can adapt themself but there's limits like polar Bear in Mexico, lion in russia, elephant and ape in Germany
France have a cold temperate to hot temperate climate (these terms have no meaning but i dont have other words) so most of the animals are okay with the weather, they just suffer from a lack of place and natural plants (monkey and Big jungle mammal that need shadow and hide themself in vegetation
