I am from a Catholic family, and I was an atheist for many years. It has been two years since I reverted to Islam. There are very very few Muslims where I am from. This is the most unique story I've ever heard, and I've heard a few. This is a beautiful thing for our living, breathing, and growing religion.
It truly is a blessing Alhamdulillah. Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى did not leave us to figure this out ourselves. I am a revert of asian ethnicity, with catholic parents who adopted me. Throughout the years they have become typical non-practicing christians, even bordering agnosticism and deism. They are very old, but masha Allah my mother has begun to ask me more about Islam. She is still very indoctrinated by western mentality and prejudice, so it is not easy to discuss with her without certain frictions, but by Allah's grace, every interaction is slowly getting easier. May Allah guide her to the straight path. May He bless Sister Iman.
Ya Allah, she asked God to the truth no matter what it takes, and when she find the truth she find that surah, it's like God talking to her straight, "This day I completed my favor upon you, I have perfected your religion, And I have chosen Islam as your religion". She had unknowingly been practicing as a Muslim all along but only came to realize it when she reached this moment. It became clear that God had been guiding her all these years, and when she came across that verse, it solidified her faith. It was a moment of clarity, and she felt truly inspired, realizing the beauty of God. Let us all be blessed by God and show patience and respect towards each other, regardless of our faiths and religions. May we strive to embody love and kindness wherever we may go.
I cant imagine the joy this sweet lady has in her heart. These reverts are literally biggest rockstars of this world to me. Nothing is more better on earth than being a muslim: peace and tranquility in the heart, pure knowledge, and the save capability to communicate with Allah (alone) in a direct way. I'm a revert too, Alhamdoulillah. I am glad that Allah guided this lady to islam, she's our sister! I was literally in tears listening to her. We're all brothers and sisters and we've the Ummah, and example for whole of mankind.
I always love to hear convert stories like this one..because it is so touching and i always have this thinking, there must be something good they did in their life that deserves hidayah, the greatest gift from Allah.
