Love your Yeti. It's awesome. Of course you're never going to land every jump perfectly but I wouldn't be too down on the Yeti for breaking on that hit. I cringed as soon as I saw that hit and straight away knew it was the one you broke on. Hopefully the RPM arms serve you well. Would love to see more XL vids. :)
It is a shame that at the money that the Yeti XL cost that they would allow that to hit the shelves. But, in retrospect without breaks there would be no parts sold. I guess it may be wise for me to get a set before mine break like yours. Thanks for sharing.
+Donald “NOT PLAYING1970” Byrd Hey whats up Donald I agree with you totally and Axial is definitely not known for their plastics being durable. Pick up the RPM its a must!
Love your YetiXL, Chris. You got a real beast of a car there. Too bad about the break, but I think you might have a few more, unfortunately. Axial make some awesome looking rigs, but their plastics are of piss poor quality. I have a friend that had the stock Yeti RTR and he couldn't put a full battery pack through it before something broke. And it was always the smallest, most annoying little things that would end his day. After pouring almost $1000 into that truck/buggy thing, he ended up selling it. I hope you don't have the same experience and that this is about as bad as it gets with your XL. Those RPM arms looks great and should hold up way better, so I'll remain optimistic and look forward to the next bash session with that awesome looking YetiXL. All the best Chris, talk soon buddy. :)
+Aussie RC Playground Thanks a lot Vas! I still Love this beast of a truck, vehicle,Buggy, side by side thingy!LOL Exactly! I have heard the from a bunch of people. I too have a good friend that Poured a bunch of upgrades and seriously devoted some time to make this vehicle durable but to no avail. He also sold his Yeti XL. Im more of a collector so each of my vehicles have a piece of me in them and I choose to hold on to most of the Major Rigs. I will put forth as much effort as I can to strengthen this Rig and if not im sure myself and everyone else will get a kick out me breaking the crap out of it! Its always good to see you stop by Buddy! All the best to you as well.
@@EVERYDAYRC That was a great answer! I still have mine and the tbone front bumper and rpm arms help a lot. But, just bashed it (yeti xl) hard last week and the front pinion bearing blew up,ha! Oh well i just hope theres no gear damage but if there is i got spares.Still enjoy my xl and mgt's,1/8 rival and other classic's.Happy Thanksgiving and keep on bashing!
All good, didn't realise it was such an old vid. Would you recommend this truck? I'm looking for something big for every day RCing but this seems to be a bit "fragile"? I was wanting the get a kit version but from the front diff in your other vid and the arms.. what else has broken? I treat my trucks a lot more gentle then you did here though. First I was thinking an xmaxx but its a bit one sided in what it can do and $$ in Australia (around $1600 AU RTR) is out of my budget.
I personally wouldn't suggest this truck unless your willing to do a lot of upgrades to make it stronger! If your looking for a MONSTER TRUCK I WOULD go with something else!
I have a slash 2wd and a stampede 2wd (freebie) but I'm looking for something different. I used to own a Twin Hammers which i loved but I had to sell it because we needed funds. I guess the reason I no longer want an xmaxx is that its really only made for one thing... big jumps... and that would get boring to me very fast. I like the idea of a rock racer but I want something bigger then 1/10
Thanks for reply. I'm getting my yeti xl rtr version this week, sold my little yeti as I want something like this to handle the terrain much better. Have u got the upgraded steering rack so it turns good as I know yeti got bad turning radius
