- Just a quick test for the latest Horus head mechanics I'm building. This one is radio control just like the original movie helmets. The head was built using a combination of custom machined and Actobotics parts with Hitec servos from Servocity.com
There is a build thread with parts listing here- hackaday.io/project/7142-anim... - Хобби
Very much looking forward to the finished product. I want one of these helmets so bad! Looks awesome!
OK we'll I'll get started then, thanks for the reply and good luck in future projects!
Awesome work!, those are great servo holders you made btw!
This is beyond cool. Great stuff"!
Nice work! I did a version of the Instructible horus (and anubis) helmets for Calgary Comic Expo. Blew the servos 2 days before the show though so I had lights only. Would love to give it a second shot, those apertures on the eyes are awesome.
+Kevin Clarkson (Woopate) Awesome! I'll tell you it's amazing the amount of work that went into the movie hero helmets.
I need to learn electronic stuff to do this
Bad ass
Hello very nice, from where did you buy the arms that connect to the servo please because I need to buy some. thanks a lot
+ziffa27 You can get the nice Aluminum heavy duty arms from Servocity.com - they make them in a couple of different sizes and splines to fit both Hitec and Futaba servos.
+DIY Animatronics Thanks a lot :)
p.s. this looks awesome
+Ben Millen Thanks!
Songbird !
just a quick question, do you think it would be possible to make an iron man mark 44 suit with animitronics?
+Kickin It Of course.
are the aperture eyes a custom part? after something like that for my dalek
+Ben Millen You can get them on eBay. Just search for iris diaphragm and the size you need.
+DIY Animatronics, ah perfect thanks, I did buy a powered one for a camera but couldn't figure out how to wire it, think the servo method you've used will be much easier
