Great explanatory video, Adrian! It was quite the shock (getit? 😂) to see the shift to electric at Boot Düsseldorf, and it's great to know that Nautical Ventures is pushing for this in the US. Looking forward to a SUPER-CHARGED Yacth Bros 2023 Video lineup! In regards to the video, you know I love electric so.. Hopefully in the future I'd be able to get one of the entry-level recreational ones :)

Cool video. I think the boating industry is ripe for a tesla level of disruption that very few boating companies are ready for. While it's great that there is a charging infrastructure already with most marinas. A good amount of boats have the real estate to take advantage of renewable energy sources and storage solutions, especially yachts and liveaboards. Between solar panels, wind turbines, wave harvesters etc boats should never run low on power. Also, boats don't need to rely on the most expensive lithium ion battery packs when they can use Lithium Iron Phosphate packs, a combo of the two, or many of the other emerging options.

Very well done. I would like to add: 1. Buying an older boat and refit the boat according to the purpose (currently cheaper TCO) 2. Batteries will in price every year between 15 to 30%. However waiting doesn’t make sense. 3. Conversion to electric with a small generator on board as range extender However, the decision has to fit the personal needs. We have two electric cars and charge from the sun. This is another viable option for boats bigger surface. In the future the market will explode and H2 will enter the market as well. Slower but steady.
Elon.. we need Angel investors for my new "Keel-stub/ batteries" Perhaps a full keel boat could house the heavier components of a Tesla wall backup battery?

When you say full-keel are you referring to a sailboat? Doubt those would require that much battery power with existing solar solutions.
