It's undeniable that these guitars sound fantastic, but, making a fantastic guitar just sound pretty is, well, pretty amazing. Thank you for sharing. There are so very few things in this world that are truly pretty these days
I am a lefthanded player , I had to wait six months for this guitar to arrive at Jerry's Lefty Guitars and after two weeks of playing , I am so happy I did. I played this instrument at Jerry's Shop, where your welcomed to play any one of Jerry's hundreds of electric or acoustic guitars. I had access to other double cut guitars, vintage and new. This seemed to have the most resonance of all of them. The build quality is the finest kind, it's a work of art, really. It plays like butter, the necks shape is a D , jumbo frets , .10 to.50 string gauges. The Sound from both of the pickups is outstanding, pedals sound great though my tube amps and non tube. This guitar rocks and the other Duesenberg guitars I have played at Jerry's are just as good in all aspects. This would be my only guitar if one was all I had. I never buy a guitar I haven't played, for myself, that is. It avoids regrets, speaking from experience. Keep playing, never give up,sisters & brothers.
Now, read this: I am a classical musician, and 99% of pop music I call .... (a four-letter-word here). BUT: This here is good. It's very good. It sounds, and it sounds as if each tone is wanted and set properly. This is a decent instrument. Respect.
The music is great and the recording itself is outstanding. I have a Starplayer TV and came across your demo while researching the Duesy Deluxe. I enjoy your comps Evert, very nice playing.
Marvellous, I appreciate you don't need me to say fabulous youur playing is bud , but I do have to Express how beautiful those dusenberg guitars look ,outstanding
Makes me want to trade in my Gibson 335 but then reality hits and alas, I realize that he could make any guitar sound like that and I can't make any guitar sound like that.
Is that twangy sound on the bass strings from the P90 pickup or is it inherent in the Guitar itself ? And could the Neck PU - if changed to a PAF slight overwind - be a much thicker warmer tone ?
Hi, Evert! I keep coming to this video. I really enjoy it! Sooo musical and tasteful melodic playing. Thanks! I want to buy a duesenberg gran majesto, but can't decide between the single cut or the double cut and I can't try any of them where I live, unfortunately. Single cut GM like the one you played on the 3 classic duesenbergs video is being discontinued. I am leaning towards the double cut, intending to add it a duesenberg trem. I play mostly fingerpicking, jazz and ambient music. In your experience, is there a big difference in sound between the two models? I would prefer the less muddy one (with tighter bass). Any comment on sonic differences between the two models would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and greetings from Barcelona! :+)
Thanks for your kind words! I'm afraid I can't really help you with this decision. I only had the guitar in this video for a few weeks - I really loved it by the way. The guitar in the ToneZone video I only played during the recording of that video shoot, in totally different circumstances. I have to say though that every Duesenberg I ever played was great, they seem to have a very good quality control.
@@Evertzeevalkink Thanks for your message! I appreciate the insight. Then I can't go wrong :P Take care and keep sharing your great music! Best wishes :+)
How are you recording the Helix? I just got my Apollo Twin and I'm hoping to snag a Helix as well. Do you go XLR or 1/4" or SPDIF into the Apollo Twin or just use the USB from the Helix?
Sounds really good! That Gran Majesto sounds and looks beautiful! Which of your amps were you playing and recording through? Did you mic the amp or go direct? Thanks!
My description of the guitar would be exactly that:) I really fell in love with this guitar. Unfortunately this particular one had to go back to Duesenberg.
It has it's own sound and feel. It doesn't really remind me of a 335 that much because it looks and feels so differently even though it's a semi hollow. Also, it has a p90 in the neck which makes both the neck only and the two combination settings a little bit sweeter sounding. At this point I would prefer this one over a 335; but ask me again in a couple of weeks and the answer might be different:) The guitar just resonated with me I guess.
Evert Zeevalkink awh, this sounds like just what I need. Not overly fond of 335s but want a hollow-body with versatility. Need to try one of these immediately. You need to get one of these to match the Marr Jag!! :) Big fan of your work btw!
@@Evertzeevalkink Evert really nice compositions. My goal would be to use a fat humbucker ( or the Split King in the neck with a coil cut) to get two sounds from Neck PU . Is the Majesto UNPLUGGED still brighter than a 335 or mostly the Pickups ?
Lovely melody and amazing guitar, many thanks , greatly appreciated. Cheers Neil

Big fan of your work. Great display of what this guitar and the Helix is capable of.
Your the best on RUclips as far as I'm concerned.
God bless you dude

Love these duesenberg videos! Can you do one of these with a duesenberg starplayer tv deluxe? That would be awesome!
You have lots of gear and fans congrats !
is that what they play when you take the elevator to heaven?

I use two XLR's into the Apollo 8.
LOVE IT! do you think you can install the duesenberg les trem on that guitar?
カッコいい。
Still looking for a demo of the Gran Royale.
Sounds really good! That Gran Majesto sounds and looks beautiful! Which of your amps were you playing and recording through? Did you mic the amp or go direct?

I used the Line 6 Helix for all the sounds on this video!
Are you open to sharing this patch?
Love this! What are your thoughts on the guitar Evert? Looks phenomenal, sounds fantastic

Evert Zeevalkink sweet! how would you rate it against a 335?

Hey mate which amp were you using in the helix
Hi Evert, great video! Just curious as to whether you tried the single cut gran majesto and if so how you felt about it?
Thanks Cale! I haven't tried the single cut version unfortunately.
La rencontre entre David Gilmour et Mike Oldfield. 👍😁😁
What Helix amp models are you using? This sounds incredible!
is it open tuned? beautiful
Evert Zeevalking were are you from? Do you endorser of Duesemberg guitars?
I'm from the Netherlands. I'm not an endorser of Duesenberg guitars, I'm just hired to make these demo videos.
Evert Zeevalkink congratulations! echt Ik hou van het geluid van deze gitaren, maar vooral ik hou nog meer van hun muzikaliteit.
This might be a weird question but, what spiritual beliefs do you have?
Levi Jesse Interesting question. I was thinking the same. His style does have something inherently spiritual, doesn’t it?
I would sell my German car to buy this German guitar...
F hell!
What amazingly beautyfull !!
Thank you.
