I’m just so proud of you ❤️
I was in a horrible place mentally a few years ago and this Would’ve helped me SO much, it still helped me even now. Anxiety and depression is awful, especially when other issues are making it hard too. Knowing I’m not alone in my sleepless nights and panic attacks makes me feel that bit less lonely so thank you for being honest and being real 🧸

Edit: just got to the end and you 100 percent got the message across. I don’t believe you are sympathy baiting in any way and I’m in a good place at the moment but videos like this do really help me when I watch them so thank you for making this video and I would watch every vlog video you put up. Glad to see you’re doing better and that you’re being kind to yourself ❤️🥰

Thank you so much for this video, I’m in almost exactly the same spot but my brain couldn’t comprehend it into structured thoughts or words and this helped so much. I’m also going through a phase where putting the hair dryer on just feels like to much. But this video made me feel very safe and less isolated. ❤️ Meg you so worthy x

Honestly, thank you so so much for talking about your mental health. I'm in a position atm where I've gotten so mentally unwell that I cannot work anymore, and I'm devastated because this is not the life I wanted for myself. But I needed to step back and get some help. Maybe in the future, I will be where I want to be, but to have that happen I need to stop, get help and look after myself. You put it in a great way. Thank you.
Also, take your time!!! You only need a 2:1 to do a master's. I did a Master's in Crime and Victimisation after getting a 2:2 in my undergrad. Be kind to yourself, you are good enough. If you are passing, you are succeeding. When I did my master's at 24, I was the youngest. The oldest being 80. You have time. Take your time!

Hi Meg, just a little message for if you’re in the place to think about academia for a second (skip this if not and if you really don’t want unsolicited comments, as is your right to not want, as you say at the end!!): coming from a fellow academic perfectionist, I TOTALLY empathise with the spiral that a stray 60 can cause, and how not achieving on the imaginary schedule you’ve planned for yourself can feel like something you almost have to grieve. One thing I wish I knew back in undergrad, having now studied y at 3 ‘academically rigorous’ unis in Scotland, England and the US, is how different institutions are in how they give out and mark assignments. A low mark in a subject at one uni does not mean inevitable low marks in that subject at others. That would have helped me massively in terms of halting spirals - to know that if there was any kind of ‘failure’ (or failure in my own eyes anyway) it was localised to one module/one uni/one marker/one supervisor, not to everything across the board automatically. Not to say that all criticism can be overruled or it isn’t useful to listen to it, but that it is never having the final say on your abilities. Just to say for anyone watching who also piles academic pressure on themselves in undergrad at their first uni.
Anyway, keep on doing what you’re doing in this vid and listening to your body telling you what you can handle. That was great to see xx
