Hi, are you Lampung citizen? What's the condition of tourism spot in Danau Ranau nowadays? And what's the condition of the road from Krui to Bengkulu, is it quite smooth & safe? I would love to travel to Liwa-Krui-Bengkulu one day. 😊
lampung coffee is known for robusta coffee bcs they planted in a low land under the 1000 m below sea level. the flavor is much bitter than arabica. meanwhile you will find arabica coffee in a highland you will find it at North Sumatra and Central Aceh. there is also a wild luwak coffee usually the farmers collecting in farm area but the qty is much less and rare. and also theres a debate about farming luwak in a cage. they are energetic animal love to climb a tree and they only ate the red cherry. for me personally luwak is hype bcs of the process not the really about the taste. btw I love watching all of your videos , keep it up!
Hyy guys...do you still in lampung? If you guys still in lampung, you should explore another place here. There are many beaches, mount & waterfall here in lampung. And also food and culture
Woow.. coffee.. im a coffe addict.. lts a drink of heaven.. its have very vary of taste. Every place has its own different taste. sometimes coffe has a frutty after taste sometimes its flower taste other different process can bring u honey. Indonesia has a lot of it. from Toraja and Aceh known with The Arabica and the new star coming form Kerinci. Arabica has a highly acids but less coffein than Robusta. Lampung Bali, Banyuwangi, Flores has great Robusta coffe beans with ther own special flavour.
Very amazing video content. How lucky you're. The Jordy solution about the Luwak's husbandry was very interesting because It still can be taken care by human but in very gentle handling nearly similar from its original habitat. We can build a large cage with some trees and also as their children's playground. Nearly a conservation way but still use its ability in producing the best way of original Luwak's Cofee. 🙏
Yes, there is a lot of space in Indonesia. Maybe if the government could help the local farmer to have more land then they can have a higher quality coffee that can create a good income for local communities and government
I love coffee too. My fav are aceh gayo arabica, sumatera mandheling arabica and toraja arabica. I make my coffee with moka pot mostly, frenchpress sometimes. And have it with creamer or creamer + palm sugar, sometimes I add cinnamon too
The video is beautifully done..... yesssssssssssss...... we agree on your suggestion.... should be better cages or no cage...put them in a place like a garden or something..... with fence but still a garden. They would be happier.
I like Black, mostly buy Robusta from Sidikalang or Lampung, grind by my self - medium size since I use Moka Pot, but sometime I drink latte . that is a great idea about create big cage for the luwak and also its great vidio 👍👍❤ t
The best civet coffee is coffee that is processed from wild civet droppings in the garden/forest. Because wild civets only choose coffee that is really red, so the coffee produced must be good. In addition, wild civets do not experience stress like those kept in cages so they can produce the best, although not as much as civets in cages.
Betul itu ,KANDANG LUWAK nya kurang gede/besar ,kasihan ! Biar bisa lebih bebas bergerak ,kn jadi gak depresi luwaknya krn kurang gerak/lari2an ..biar lebih sehat juga .
1:09 Those are binturong the bear cat, cute & fluffy but IUCN vulnerable animals. Yes those cage seems quite small compared to their natural range. I think some companies have legal permit for conservation and limited usages of binturong. I think their welfare being good taken care of, by seeing their ideal body weight and that one mother able to breed two babies in enclosure. As I know, usually they use the IUCN Least Concerned asian palm civet to produce the kopi luwak (limited free roam in coffee orchard or in enclosure).
Hostorical fact about luwak coffee (civet cat's poo coffee): in Dutch colonial times in Sumatera, locals are forced to plant coffee but they prohibited to consume it. Luwak or musang or civet cat actually pest for this coffee plantation, they are actually an omnivore, they eat the best berries but defecate the beans. Local picked up the poo and consume it because the Dutch think it couldn't be traded or consumed anymore. But in the end it turn out to be one of the best coffee, Luwak coffee. Actually there some variant of luwak (civet cat) what shown in this video I believe are Binturong because they are bigger than common civet cat or usually called Musang in Sumatera/Malay.
actually, the best luwak coffee is from luwak "waste" in the jungle not the one "inside the cage" because they can choose good quality coffee directly from the tree not the one that have been prepared by their human.
in the matter of captivate luwak.... that was a western paradox the way of thinking... like you criticize our rain forest deforestration... meanwhile westerner has done that a long time ago when no one criticize it back then... it is ok to have an emphaty to the animal but you have to think the coffee farmer too... as long as the farmer not abusing carelessly the animal... I think it was ok... they have thought about the sustainability of the ecosystem...
