Loved the whole OLR album and this song was one of my favorites. I have autism which didn’t help during my childhood. My father always pretended to want some involvement in my life but never actually did and constantly made me feel like less of a person because of the verbal and emotional abuse he put me through but because of my faith I was able to push through my dark past and came out stronger realizing I didn’t have to be afraid of my father anymore after I cut him out of my life and didn’t have to prove that I could be better than anyone because I wasn’t less of a person

I have noticed Christian bands who took out blatant message of Jesus tend to fall away. Much like this song. Sad really. Bands that kept Jesus and a clear message remained. I wonder why bands don't learn this.

Pillar didn't fall away. The had to supplement their income through other ventures. The singer is a pastor. Guitar player plays for Brantley Gilbert. Drummer plays for Kelly Clarkston. Bass player is a a trainer and life coach.
The sad reality is that 99% of Christian bands and artists don't make enough money to justify staying together
