@EngelsCoachShop It's always the "Lill-Old-Ladies" that getYa ;) Thanks for another great and enjoyable video, that was one beautiful little wheel. Best regards.
I used to build bicycle and motorcycle wheels, so I get what you're saying about redundancy. But, I for one do not tire of watching you build buggy wheels. As I watch I try to envision how it was done before power tools were available. To you and those that came before you: respect.
One of the best parts of your video's is all the unique tools and machines in your shop so you are able to do the work you do. When you stop making wheels and tires, all of those tools just sit there not being used. So it is great to see you remaking aquaintances with all of your old friends. I can't help but feel that they missed you.
You are so dedicated to your work, it's just amazing. You could have easily cut a few corners, and it would have been just fine. But, you built it like it would be a working wheel.
No matter how many wheels you have built, I never get tired of watching you build or repair one. I wish you would reconsider your decision on stopping your building of wheels. Building the wheel is one thing, but to watch a craftsman in the process is another. Thank you
Well done Dave , you have made many more people happy besides the Grandma as we all got to witness the magic of creating another Dave Engels wheel, I could never tire of watching you building wheels, thank you.
I don't know about anyone else but I enjoy watching Dave build new wheels. He truly is a master of his craft! Thank you for helping to preserve the past and those special memories all of us old people cherish.
I do to...every time he mentioned he does not do that anymore I get a little sad... I understand but I just so enjoyed it.. If I ever need to make a wheel I know who I'll turn to to watch how it's done...no where else on the internet can be as good as Dave's
It may be old hat to you but it's still nice to see hands that move with skill and sureness. And nice that you did something that will mean so much to her.
"Blessed are those who give without remembering and those who receive without forgetting." She may have paid for the wheel but you willingly gave your talent to this lady who will not forget what you did for her.
For Dave to put as much effort into something that's going to hang on the wall as he does for an actual functional structural wheel speaks volumes about his craftsmanship.
I still enjoy watching you make a wheel. Even though I have seen many of your videos it is still a pleasure. And that new old wheel will make a nice decoration. A kind good turn for a neighbour.
Like everyone else, I'll watch you build another wheel anytime, and every time you get coerced into doing one. I especially like your antiquing techniques, and your attention to making a functional decoration. Well done, Dave!!!
No matter how many times and no matter how repetitious doing wheels teaches me every time and I enjoy it. I live in NC and think every time you say you don't do wheels I'd move to Montana if you said you'd put me to work. For me I think it would be a plus in two ways. I could learn wheel wright and I'd live in Montana.
Dave you’re a true gentleman. Taking the time to care for our elder ones! And the “half” wheel wall hanger turned out great! I’m guessing I’m not the only one who kinda wants one too!?✌🏻❤️🇺🇸
Hi Dave, I am sure when I speak for all your followers,' We never tire of watching your wonderful range of skills , whatever you do.' Many thanks from Nr Liverpool UK.
Dave I’ve watched every one of your videos more than once and love them all . I’ll never get tired of watching you make wheels, wagons, or buggies. It’s ez to watch an artist
Maybe we've watched this process a dozen times but this one seems different simply because of the customer. Thank you for allowing us to participate in the joy of generously sharing your skills for a deserving grandma.
Well Dave you made an 80 year old lady happy, and by the sounds and looks of all the comments a lot of viewers too. myself included. I have watched you make wheels not for the better part of few years now. (back to and just prior to the Borax wagons. and still am fascinated and enjoy the process. each wheel tho Identical in many ways for some reason to me has its own character and design elements. it never gets old to me. But then again. I'm 80 years old also so does not take much to keep me occupied. thanks for sharing. ECF
I don't get bored with the wheel building videos. I build wire wheels for bicycles on a regular basis and as repetitive as the job is, it's still one of those skills you get to remain smug about, even if it's not as complicated as it appears.
each of your actions, each of your gestures teaches us something. your search for perfection is remarkable and invites us to be inspired by it. thank you so much
I could watch you build wheels every day and I don’t think it would get old. I am proud I’m not the only sucker for older ladies requests. No is not even possible!
Don't worry about us being bored with you making another wheel. We all appreciate your craftsmanship so much it doesn't matter if we've seen it before. There isn't anything much better than watching someone at the top of their game doing what they do best. Obviously, if you become bored with it, stop, but don't think your viewers feel the same.
Hi Dave and Diane ☺ granny will be realy pleased whith her new/ old wheel, you've made a good job of it Dave, hope your all doing ok, thanks for another interesting video, stay safe, best wishe's to all, Stuart and Megan UK.
😊 Dave you are a true legend in the wheelright world. A master of all things wooden wagon or carriage or buggy. You are such a gentlemen she as and you said yes. Keep on doing what you are doing. God Bless America.
I think I understand your feelings towards wheel building but I just want to echo what others have already said: There is ABSOLUTELY NO CHANCE that I would ever consider watching you build wheels to be redundant or even remotely undesirable! While I thoroughly enjoy watching you do just about anything requiring your level of craftsmanship and dedication to the trade, I'm especially captivated by both the science behind being a wheelwright and your personal application of the considerable knowledge and skills you carry around inside your brain. If I could only watch one RUclips channel I have no doubt it would be this one. As always Dave: a sincere thank you for allowing us along on this wonderful journey of yours.
Mr Dave, I never get tired of watching your Craftsmanship in every phase of your work!! I’m sure it is tiresome for you, after all of these years. Thank you for the videos!!! God Bless you
After watching your channel for over 5 years now, I still don't get tired of the occasional wheel video. Don't think you need to stop your wheelwright business on behalf of youtube.
What a shame that beautiful wheel will never be used as intended but she will see it everyday and it will make her happy so mission accomplished. Keep up the great work Dave!
Wonderful thing you did for this lady and it is beautiful. Not only are you a craftsman and artist but you’re a gentleman with a big heart. This will look so nice in her kitchen and bring back those memories of her youth and when life went at an easier pace. ❤
This is a true testament to your work ethic! This a decorative wheel for a woman who, God willing, will enjoy it for 10 or 15 years, but you constructed like it was going on a wagon for real use (minus a shortened hub!). You, sir, are a National Treasure! Thank you for archiving your knowledge for the craftsmen yet to come!
Dave, you have a big heart. Your prowess as a wheelwright has grown a little as a master craftsman, and you humbly satisfied her desire. You have also made our hearts grow as we watch you build the wheel.
Sometimes you just gotta feel good about breaking down and saying "yes" and this is one you should really feel good about! Lovely bit of art. Thanks for sharing.
Not that I need a wheel made but who's going to take your place when you're gone? I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you build these wheels and wagons. You are a true craftsman.
When I joined your channel, you were making wheels and I appreciate you don't really do that any more but it was really nice to see you make one again. Self employed, we're in the business of saying 'yes', and no is the hardest word especially to nice people who are younger than you thought!
I cannot speak for the rest of the Internet, but I like watching you make wheels. Thanks!
You rock Dave. Helping out Grandma how kind and wise.
It never gets old seeing wheelwright building a wheel.
You made a new wheel look very mature , and you have made a mature lady feel very new .
watching a true craftsman building a wheel out of wood, never gets boring.. so for me keep them coming, but i understand if you have enough of that..
Great story - is what makes our memories stronger and longer! Right stories forge generations. Give our regards to wise grandma! ))
@EngelsCoachShop
It's always the "Lill-Old-Ladies" that getYa ;)
Thanks for another great and enjoyable video, that was one beautiful little wheel.
Best regards.
Dave you are an old softy, nice wheel for a nice lady and we get a great video to watch. 10/10.
Beautiful, the elderly lady should be chuffed right up with that wheel 👍🇬🇧
I used to build bicycle and motorcycle wheels, so I get what you're saying about redundancy. But, I for one do not tire of watching you build buggy wheels.

You Sir, are a good man.
Please keep doing wheels and show us your day to day wheel work. We like your old videos but current videos showing wheel work are so enjoyable.
id sure love to be there when she brings that APPEL PIE in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My thoughts exactly! And I hope it's big enough to last Dave and Diane a week.
Ah ya big softie, bless you for making her wheel.
No matter how many wheels you have built, I never get tired of watching you build or repair one. I wish you would reconsider your decision on stopping your building of wheels.

Thanks for making another wheel , we love to watch you build them and bring back the old days ! See Ya
It may be old hat to you but it's still nice to see hands that move with skill and sureness. And nice that you did something that will mean so much to her.
Thanks for doing one more wheel video, I picked up some cool tricks! Our whole family enjoyed the video.
"Blessed are those who give without remembering and those who receive without forgetting." She may have paid for the wheel but you willingly gave your talent to this lady who will not forget what you did for her.

Kinda comforting to watch something so familiar
Don't know about the rest of the folks on here but could watch you build those wheels a thousand times over! Beautiful work yet again!!
The things we do for Grandmas. Nice Job! Hello Diane!
Hello!
No matter how many times and no matter how repetitious doing wheels teaches me every time and I enjoy it. You did right by saying "yes" to this one, Dave! ❤❤❤
You are simply a good person and a good member of your community 💪🏻
I think you enjoyed that more than you thought you would!

I love watching you show how a wheel is built. Thanks for granting Grandma's wish; you're a good man!
Never think what you do is boring. Whether you do it for the first time or the one thousandth, it is interesting to watch a master at work.
Well Dave you made an 80 year old lady happy, and by the sounds and looks of all the comments a lot of viewers too. myself included. It’s still nice to see the odd wheel made. 🏴

I always thought of you as a very nice guy , but now you changed my mind , God has blessed you with your talents and given you a heart to match.
That wheel will never touch the road, except in the eyes of the beholder while she's cooking.
I could watch you build wheels every day and I don’t think it would get old. I am proud I’m not the only sucker for older ladies requests. No is not even possible!

You are a good man, Dave. Only a good man would help make an 80-year-old lady's heart happy.
I am so glad I found your channel.
Watching you do something, that I've watched you do before, does not get that old too me. Enjoyed watching you make another wheel. Thank you.

I'm sure the Grandmother was pleased with your efforts, as is ALL of us watching a Master at work!! THANK YOU for doing it.... again!! =).
It came out very nice Dave! The Grandma sure got you between a rock and a hard place. She made you an offer you couldn't refuse!!
Nice job as always.
Good to see you building a whole new wheel again. I like to see it more often.
Thank you for your videos, I actually enjoy watching you build wheels over and over again; re-watching old videos and new videos of the same process.
I love the fact that you don't do anything halfway. Even for a wall decoration. Great Job Dave!!
Not that I need a wheel made but who's going to take your place when you're gone? I have thoroughly enjoyed watching you build these wheels and wagons. You are a true craftsman.
I still love watching this. You sir are poetry in motion!
When I joined your channel, you were making wheels and I appreciate you don't really do that any more but it was really nice to see you make one again.
Self employed, we're in the business of saying 'yes', and no is the hardest word especially to nice people who are younger than you thought!
Awesome :)
Bet Diane didn't even get jealous, of the hug of appreciation you got.....LOL.. Well deserved too.
I know we have seen you make many wheels in the past, but since it has been a while, it was nice to watch you do it again!
You are a good man Mr. Engels.
A master craftsman at work. Thank you.
