really beautiful, the lady's jewellery and costume are beautiful. I found it funny they did salaams and there was also a statue of Lord Shiva there. Only in India I guess :)

Kathak emerged during the time of Muslim Mughal rule, but for the most part, the Mughal emperors were keen on Hindu aesthetics, and the Mughal artists at that time were heavily inspired by Hindu culture which was part of their surrounding. Thus, a Hindustani culture was born. Kathak thrived during the rule of Akbar, who was known for holding both Muslim and Hindu religious beliefs. Hindustani culture in general is a mixture of Carnatic and Hindu aesthetics with the Persian-Turkic Muslim culture of the Mughals.

Mohammad Sultan kathak was also done in rajputs court, and that is much better than Lucknow gharana kathak, because they didn't kept kathakars for their harams.

Siddharth Sharma I think all gharanas have their own speciality like jaipur gharana has fierce footwork and energetic movements while Lucknow gharana has elegance and graceful movements.....
