I picked up this same item while visiting a local military base since I spotted it on clearance. I see by your update in the comments you've long since returned yours but did you encounter any power issues with yours? I had to pick up an aftermarket power adapter (part of the reason it was on clearance but got matching plug) and I can't get it to power on for more than 5-10 secs.
Actually after a LOT of going back and forth and arguing with LG support, they finally agreed to do an exchange on it. The experience I had with the CS makes me not want to ever buy another LG product again, at least not in their speaker line-up. As for my replacement, I've had no issues with it. Could it be your power supply isn't providing enough power to it? The 5-10 secs you're getting could be from the built-in battery and that battery might be almost dead, so it's auto-powering off. The OEM power adapter on mine has an output of 19v and 2.1 amps: 40w. Verify the one you bought can output that much power. If the power adapter is correct, then it's possible there's an issue with the power port or the built-in battery is bad.
you can turn it off in the app. there isn't an on/off toggle, but instead you have to move the color brightness slider all the ways over to "Dark", and that essentially turns it off.
Me too. They kept delaying it until it was too late. I don't really expect to be buying more LG products in the future unless necessary. I still have 2 outstanding orders with them for over 10 months now and no contact from them on status. Not the kind of company I want to do business with.
I looked at the charger, it puts out 19v at 2.1a. You could try a PD charger that puts out 60w+ and see if it works, but no guarantees. If it helps, the model number for the charger is: ADS-45SN-19-2 I'm willing to bet there are plenty of generic chargers that would match it.
Honestly, in my opinion, for any kind of music, both the GP3 & 9 suck. For just games and only games with no music, then they both sound good, GP9 a little better than the 3, but for the price of it and only for gaming, neither is worth the price LG want for it. There are MUCH better speakers for gaming, for a lesser price AND plays music very well.

can you completely turn off the rgb lighting or only change the color?

Mine sounds fine. It doesn't compare to my klipsch speakers, but for the compact size and portability, it's about what I would expect from it.

they should make just a dac without that shitty speaker, lg love high sound without any bass but do good dacs like in smartphones
