압구정은 한국인에게 특별한 장소로 기억되고 있습니다.
1980년대 경제 부흥기에 부자가 된 부모들은 그 자식들을 해외 유학을 보냈습니다. 유학이 흔치 않았던 그 시절이었습니다.
1990년대 유학을 다녀온 젊은 세대들이 하나둘씩 압구정으로 모여들고 그들만의 문화가 형성되었고 그것이 바로 '오렌지 족'이라는 신조어를 만들어 냅니다.
그들을 통해 해외 문화가 본격적으로 한국에 유입되기 시작한 계기가 되었습니다.
당시 유교적 성향의 기존 한국인의 눈에 '오렌지족'은 사회 문제아로 인식되었습니다.
'압구정 오렌지 족' '압구정 로데오 거리' '야 타 족' '오빠 나 타?'등 신조어를 만들어내고
'압구정'은 지금까지 신세대를 표현하는 거리로 인식되고 있습니다.
'압구정 오렌지부터 지금의 MZ세대'까지 이어지는 '조금은 특별한 서울의 모습' '압구정 로데오거리' '역시 압구정!'입니다.

Apgujeong is remembered as a special place by Koreans
Parents who became wealthy during the economic boom of the 1980s sent their children to study abroad.
It was a time when studying abroad was not common.
In the 1990s, the younger generation who had studied abroad gathered in Apgujeong
one by one and formed their own culture, which gave rise to the new term 'Orange Tribe'.
Through them, foreign culture began to be introduced in earnest.

'Apgujeong' is still recognized as a street that represents the new generation.
‘Apgujeong Rodeo Street’, a completely different side of Seoul from
‘Apgujeong Orange to the current MZ generation’, ‘As expected, Apgujeong!’
