As a hairstylist the wet brush is the most amazing thing that has ever been invented for little girls or grown ladies with long thick hair. The dollar tree brush doesn’t look like the wet brush. The bristles on the wet brush are smaller and skinnier than the dollar tree one and that’s what makes the tangles come out. Been a hairstylist for 38 years

    • @sparrowsfriend

I have one of each - I also wanted to know if there was that much difference. They both work but the Wet Brush is a little less painful and pulls a little less hair out (but l’m an older lady). If I was buying this for a business or a child, I would definitely get the Wet Brush.

  • @xc1iffyx

As a pro hair stylist, I can totally vouch for the wet brush. It lasts longer and reduces tension which causes breakage when the hair is wet and more fragile. Just my personal experience. If your hair isn’t dyed or heat damaged or extra curly, maybe not a huge deal if you use a detangler and are gentle but otherwise I’d just spend the extra $$!

Now, about that oatmeal: back in the day (some 24 years ago) when Tori got chicken pox, first thing I did was to put some oatmeal and lavender buds into drawstring muslin bags and toss one into a warm bath, letting it steep for a bit as we let the water cool a little. I swoosh the water so the silky goodness of the oatmeal and the relaxing lavender were infused in the entire tub. Then, in goes the miserable, hot, itchy child. Cool thing is, you then take that little drawstring bag of goodness, soaking wet and stroke the itchy skin . It's amazing, whether for chicken pox, poison ivy or sunburn!! Tweezers
Bought this at $ Tree. Was ok but did not grip those baby fine hairs like my Tweezerman. But for regular tweezing these are great.
    White Strips
Tried them and noticed using 2 strips 2 days in a row was ok and was not as sensitive as when I use a Crest strip.
2 weeks later used 1 Crest strip. Much whiter and still white after a month. I only use a Crest strip once a month because of teeth sensitivity.

A friend gave me one. Was nice.
Tried 2 pack from $ Tree and one pad outlasted the Dash and cleaned just as good.
I liked that the $ Tree scrubber covered a bigger area when scrubbing casserole pans.

Vivian I have a WET brush for about 2 yrs now. I LOVE IT! Best brush I have ever owned! And it cleans so easy. The only thing that has happened. Their logo wore off the back...so what! And I don't know about some German Engineering, but my hair feels softer after I brush it! The tangles don't hurt as much coming out. Don't get rid of your WET brush Vivian. Use itfor awhile and then try to use another brush. You'll see...

OK, that sheet pan is seasoned perfectly. I have one just like it, except I have the shadow left from French fries on one side. lol I'm excited to go to Dollar Tree now. I wish they had the Tangle Teezer. Love mind, but I'm cheap so bought the cheapest one that fits in the palm of your hand for $8.

i actually really love my Revlon tweezer. it has an easy grip for my small hands and a very slanted & pointy angle. it doesn't have an led light it travel container. i did try other less expensive brands, brands which i tossed in the trash once i bought the Revlon tweezer.

Vivian when it comes to the WET brush .. I SWEAR BY THESE BRUSHES!! .. Ever since I bought my wet brush (about 7-8ish years ago) . my hair has less breakage, less daily hair loss, less frizziness, and my hair is much easier to brush out with my WET brush. (reguardless whether my hair is wet or not) (FYI I have natural thick curly hair, for those of us wbo have natural curly hair ya'll KNOW the hassle it is when it comes to brushing out our hair, and how much frizz is caused by MOST brushes/combs!! The WET brush is amazing for natural curly hair! All my friends became believers of how amazing the WET brush is, by witnessing my journey since investing into my WET brush.. I literally have 3 WET brushes, one in my bathroom, bedroom, and my small foldable WET brush I carry EVERYWHERE WITH ME in my purse!! (PSSTTT they are alil cheaper on Amazon)

Ok get this. Remember when you had those Command grippers for mops, brooms, etc. and you said turn it sideways to hold a curtain rod? Joke or not I’m doing it! I’m sick of my cat ripping down my curtain rods with the cheap metal so I’m getting the broom handles from Dollar Tree as rods and those grippers to stick on the wall. I’ll let you know if it works! 👍🏼

I've spend a good 20 years buying and trying many brands of tweezers to find 'thee one' I was looking for one that grabbed and held on to the hairs perfectly but not to sharp where they cut the hair at the root. Years went by and I gave up spending upwards to 30 on 2 pieces of welded metal. I picked up a pair of purple tweezers at dollarama for $1.25, and I've been using that brand religiously for years now!

Vivian, I was watching this on my TV & I had to go get my phone just so I could comment to tell you:
Wet Brushes are always worth the money, the trick is finding them on sale. I swear by that brand. 5/5 Francine heads forever!
You seriously gotta try the original one on your actual head. The one you got has slightly thicker bristles. Try it again! I swear. The best!

when I was younger I use to spend a lot of money on my brushes (really did not have a choice was not much around) but when I the dollar stores started I picked up my first dollar store paddle brush and never looked back... I am sure you get a wee bit more use out of the more expensive ones but I love the dollar store ones.. the cushion holding the pins opens up I don't care it is a buck... but if it opens up on a twenty dollar brush I am not a happy camper... btw had waist length hair all my life so I am use to working with a lot of hair

Great video! I’m going to need an oatmeal soak after a three night camping trip in the hot sun!
I love my twizzerman twizzers! I’ve had them for over 13 years now. :)(:
I really like how they grip, the end of the them have a very flush and sturdy grabber.
They also come in a little pouch with twizzer caps. It also comes with a needle point twizzer for little hair stubs. 2 twizzers!
Before I bought them I would have to make the twizzers ends flush with a file.
Eventually they would get rusty and the plating would be recked. I’ve also had twizzers that broke down the middle where they were soldered.
Haven’t had to alter the twizzerman once and they look the same as the day I bought them. Amazing when you find a good beauty tool that you don’t have to replace.
They are not for purses and travel though. I would hate to replace them but would if they got lost. 💕

The Wet Brush is good for those who have curly hair. I used them when my kids were younger. After washing their hair before the Wet Brush I would have to chase them through the house to brush the tangles out. Once we went to the Wet Brush they would sit down and we had no more tears.

I have the gold and silver sponges, I found them at a closeout store for $2! I do love them for just a basic washing dishes sponge. The texture of the sponge is nice. They used to be sold at only Amish type hardware stores for $5 a piece and that is where I found them and really loved them. I just lucked into them for $2! I now have a lifetime supply...LOL!

Hi Vivian! The ONLY tweezers I use now are the Tweezerman with the pointed ends! They get every teeny tiny hair! They are so good! I have about 10 pairs that I’ve bought over the years and the best thing? They have a lifetime warranty, you can send them in and have the align them & sharpen them for free!!!! I usually send in 5 pairs at a time because with the pointed end ones, if you drop them on the tile, they get out of alignment and you won’t be able to get any hairs pulled out, until they fix them!!!!! I’ve got a beard & a mustache, I need the heavy duty boys!!!!🌺🌺🌺
