This is my favorite bulky stopper knot. I wish that I could figure out how to more reliably tie it correctly; it is very difficult near the end. The video seems so clear, so I probably just need to practice keeping track of the different ends when using a single color.
One thing that might be handy is to see it being tied onto a knife for a lanyard, dealing with the weight and body of the knife might help show this better as well.
facts, i watched this video and didnt learn what i really wanted which was to make the exact end product he shows at the beginning of the video. thats 4 mins im never getting back. hit that dislike button.
@@billybobbonehead what I’ve done is stop after putting the ends back through the lobes and not do the last insert, that ends up making it a bit larger than a normal Diamond knot and looks good too
@@billybobbonehead I think I finally figured out what I was missing, on the last cross over I make sure that I slip the cord below the two he points out BUT also I make sure that it then goes over the other two strands and then swoop around and come up through the center
Hi, thanks fort he video. I'm just getting into paracord knots and your videos are extremely helpful. Hopefully this is not a stupid question, but if I were to try to make the same lanyard as you have pictured, would I start from the knife handle and work my way out finishing with the Diamond knot? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi AJ, not a stupid question at all! If you wanted to tie this onto a knife, then yes, you would feed the cord through the lanyard hole and then tie the wide diamond knot after.
6 years ago Marsala made a You-Tube video on this same Diamond knot and he called it the "Diamond knot with Chevrons". He also made a variation of the same knot which finished the same way you did.
To all of you I recomend run the vid al slow motion (half speed or a quarter) in order to enjoy the knot and avoid frustration. Use the three dots in the superior rigth corner and choose the speed you feel confortable with. Greetings from Ciudad de México.
Dear Weavers of the Eternity with all my respect I think that at the at the end this knot does not look simetric. At minute 4:00 you can see that the colors seem not to ve alternated. What do you think ??? Greetings from Ciudad de México.
So many other tutorials go too fast at a critical point. i was able to stop action on this and tie it first time. I do tie the standard diamond but your extra steps made a good looking bulky knot i may use in a sof shackle.
Also you can run the video at a slower speed without stop it, just choose the velocity you like .75, .5, .25 Slow motion. Greetings from Ciudad de México.
This is even nicer than ABoK#792 (doubled footrope knot), which is already nicer than the diamond knot. In comparison with the doubled footrope knot it looks somewhat like a tripled footrope knot...
I've tried and tried and I'm not getting it! I'm working through step by step and pausing the video. I think I need a whole video on "pull(ing) up on certain strands."
A tip that you might find useful if you are using a solid colour, tie it quite big and loose to start with. Makes the paths a little easier to see and recoginse. The trade off is that dressing the knot is a little more work but might help to give you the sense of the knot.
It helps to rewind the video 10 or 20 seconds if you don't quite understand a step. He slowly breaks the process down into steps, and quite well i might add, in order for the viewer to follow along. Take it one step at a time, and pause the video to double check that everything looks the same as on the video. Once you do tie it correctly, tie it again. Then a 3rd time using a single color. Make sure you pay attention to detail, especially on the steps that take you past the regular diamond knot steps. If you dont follow the pathway he demonstrates at 1:45 , the knot will come out incorrectly and won't look right. Hang in there, it took me a few tries to get it right, for the first time.
Utter and complete frustration. One color, two colors same. Tied one in a single color and cannot repeat that success. No idea what is wrong as followed video explicitly.

hello I am trying to make a necklace with a pendant with 2 rope. What do you have a video about? sorry my bad english . necklace for me not for dog :D
Using two different colours made the tying and weaving process easy to follow. Thanks.
Thanks for your clear, methodical, comprehensive explanations without all the noise and chatter. It's greatly appreciated!
YES!!
About 50 tries later, I got it!
Thank you for this.
LOVE it! It’s one of my new “go to” knots and it’s relatively easy to tie/tighten/move.
How do you move it? I find that it gets hard to track cord through the knot

Hello from Ukraine,Lviv !!!
Beautiful knot! Took me a few tries but finally got it. Love how it turns out.
The perfect knot I need for a couple projects. Great job!
Thanx for sharing, very usefull knot 😀👍👍
The finale is a lot like a magician solving a Rubric cube, I’m having a hard time “Gathering the cords “ into the final knot

This also makes a very nice button knot if you work the top loop down flush with the top of the knot!
You can also pull the top loop smaller and use it as the shank of the button.
Thank you again for yet another awesome teaching video!!!
😁👍🏻

Looks great 👍
I like this knot. Looks great on my keychain. Took a few tries but I think I was just dressing it wrong.
Thank you sir Tim... Done one!... 🍻
This is a very cool looking variation of the Diamond Knot. Thanks for making a video tutorial on this. 😎👍
Great for a bigger knot for a loop and knot bracelet!
Hi, do you have a complete tuto for this model? Thanks
By the way WEAVER OF ETERNITY tanks a lot for your vids. Hours and hours of enjoy.

Cool beans! Thank you sir
Great! A very nice knot, just a bit more complex than diamond one. Could you please show how to tie it with 1 strand?
6 years ago Marsala made a You-Tube video on this same Diamond knot and he called it the "Diamond knot with Chevrons". He also made a variation of the same knot which finished the same way you did.
Awesome, should have done it with more flexible paracord but I used that poly nylon blend stuff that doesnt like to conform.

Thanks for the tip! I have not started paracord weaving as of yet. But I will definitely make use of the "slow down " trick

Nice and clear, thanks!
What is the tip knot to hold the bead in place?
Snake knot
So pretty much like the diamond knot is a faux turk's head, this ends up being a faux gaucho, pretty cool 😎
Thanks!
I love and have gotten it twice but I can't see the end part to wel
How did u fuse the two cords together?
Melt the frayed ends with a lighter and press them together as they cool. I have a tutorial for that here: ruclips.net/video/oa6BhyWs7Ys/видео.html
Perfectamente ! Превосходно !
Thank you so much.
Super !
Flfc looks awesome
I wish you mentioned the length that you’re using
Could this go on the end of an object? Let’s say, pliers?? 🙂
Great job do you have a link for that knife
The Techno 1 is discontinued, but I have a link for the Techno 2 in the description box.

Yeah, I have made this several times. But, the two tutorials I have found are extremely hard to follow at the same point near the end.
Класс! Спасибо!
Imagine make this knot with only one color
I cannot get that last part. I just can't see what you're doing there. I think I'll try something else lol
This was extremely simple to follow.
@@zacharydrysdale8867 Yeah (Edit: that was a simple diamond knot lol, I'll probably try this one again another time)
I got it at half speed!!!
This is a foothold knot which is a diamond knot inside out
Best I can tell is that a foothold knot is not a specific type of knot, rather it describes the function that many knits may be used for.
I'm trying to tie a knot, but it's too dummy thicc
❤❤❤❤❤

Jesus Christ this is hard with a solid color cord.
Maybe practice with two colors first?

I tried, I really tried but the end result were soar fingers and neighbors hearing a lot of swearing. Something less complicated please..
did any less skillful people find this video confusing/unclear?
This one is a bit tricky for beginners, I'd say master the diamond knot first and then try this one. It took me a few tries at first too.

The tightening of this knot is an absolute mess for me, tying the knot is easy enough once you grasp the logic but the tightening....urgh
U go to dam fast
Try setting youtube speed to 0.25

Way too fast
Use slow motion and u can enjoy the vid.
