Thank you for your comprehensive video review of UAL's Polaris Business Class. Even though your review was well produced and very cleverly illustrated the Polaris Class service on the Rome to Newark flight I still will choose a foreign carrier for my US to Europe flights. The level of service, cabin design, meal service and general more pleasant approach of the cabin crew of the foreign carriers is presented at a much higher level of enjoyable service for the long haul flights.
I wanted to share some feedback from my recent flights with Polaris Business class. While I've had generally positive experiences, a couple of aspects I've noticed could be improved upon. During my flights from my overseas location to the States, I haven't observed the flight attendants walking around the cabin with the ice cream/dessert cart, which I've seen on other routes via RUclips channel. Additionally, there was one instance where a tablecloth was placed on my tray, which I hadn't experienced before. I understand that these may seem like minor details, but they contribute to the overall experience. I believe that maintaining consistency in service across all flights is important for customer satisfaction.
The ice cream carts are only on long international flights. International flights from Caribbean, Central or South America or even Canada do not have the ice cream cart. Those flights are on the narrow body one isle plane
Excellent video of your review on United Polaris, love your video - very thorough. What are your thoughts of the Therabody amenity kit? IMO they suck lol: Away amenity kits were way cooler with the mini luggage design. I love the seat as I'm a firm mattress kinda guy. Hopefully, United will upgrade their Polaris IFEs with Bluetooth capabilities. Sucks that your chicken sandwich was soggy, their mid-flight grilled cheese sandwiches were always nice and toasty. Yeah the FA service has always been mediocre; I love JAL and ANA, they take the time to write personal handwritten messages of Thanks to Business class passengers on origami paper cranes. BTW, did your bags arrive first on the carousel?
Away kits were wayyy cooler!! Therabody fanny pack feels cheaply made honestly... I can't recall if my bag was the first one off, but was pretty quick nonetheless :)
Great report as always Sad to see Polaris has not improved, good hard product but the soft still leaves a lot to be desired an their catering is as bad as ever
Yeah... catering is a shame given that the Polaris Lounge offers many options I would rather take than their options on the plane! Also, im still shocked that they dont offer espresso shots on the 777's.... I dont want the airplane black coffees anymore 😖
Serving the entire meal on one tray is awful. By the time you eat your appertiser, then starter the main course is nearly cold. The pre-landing meal was a shocker for business class...looked like low grade American fast food, very unappertising, but the Polaris suite look good.
@@TraverseFlightReview I think T1 and most of T3 at FCO has new scanners that remove the need of a liquids rule, as well as removing large electronic devices for screening. But flights to the US and Israel are exempt according to some sources (can't confirm though. It will be interesting to see what they do after the whole airport is retrofitted). Both Milan Airports have it as well (no exemptions for US, I think).
@@TraverseFlightReview Wherever they have the new scanners, yes. Amsterdam Schiphol, London City Airport, Shannon, Helsinki, etc. have this setup as well. Whole of UK will be following soon, but the bigger airports are delayed until early 2025.
Went to Sao Paolo Brazil last week on Polaris United...SUCKED!!!!!!! flight was cancelled to next day for departure..lost a whole day , and all we got was voucher for a flea bag motel near Newark and $20 food voucher..horrible..Never again.
Im so old I remember as a kid flying to Europe on a 747 in economy and we got 3 meals...now a days they give you one meal and a next to nothing snack on arrival! And thats Biz class. SMH
Excellent honest report. Good consistency! Well done!

They are really lacking in their attention to detail it seems... I hope we have better experiences with them another time!

Old equipment with new interior. These planes are true workhorses.Great report
I'm curious for how long they can keep these birds flying haha
I think until 2030 I believe.

Excellent review and camera-work by the way. Well done!
Very nice Video as always. I’d love to see an ITA review😀
I want to try the new A330neo and A321neo with ITA! Fingers crossed for soon :)
@@TraverseFlightReview I’m looking forward to it👍
Probably personal taste, that chicken sandwich looked perfect to me.

I got stomach flu after few days so Im wondering if its this flight or the next flight which I'll review next week... stay tuned.... 🤢
Hey I was wondering is there any fast track immigration on arrival at EWR?
No but global entry is always quick 🙌🏼
Nice video! I believe the security rules at FCO are changing, right?
Oh is it? I had no clue... Could you share some details?

Thats horrible! I must say, United has one of the worst customer service experience☹️
Hiiii, can you do a Qatar Airways Qsuite review:)
I will be taking Qatar A380 First Class and Qatar A350 Q Suite in April :)

True, although it’s also true that it was much more expensive to fly across the pond back then
they will never learn service no separate course for business class plastic glass horrible
🤣
The equipment they use are things, not the service. Service is the people serving you. And Polaris usually has glass

Dizzying camera work. I would have been interested in what foods available in lounge. Overall, too rushed. I gave up less than half way through.
Sucks to suck
