When asking questions like "Why not walk on the beam" or "why not remove your jacket and use the zipper to make a sound" I believe James Cameron gave the best explanation. "Sangwoo is evil", if you want to get the point of the show (which is not about good vs evil as any american hollywood fantasy) please try not to think this way ;)
I have to be honest that Cho Sang Woo is the only realistic person who understands the risk of life and death in Squid Game. At first I was really pissed at him for doing those actions to get his way, though at the same time I understand because I and anyone other people would have done the same action as he did when it comes down to saving yourself. It's suck that the old guy who was examining the glass pushed off, however, he was taking up time when the lights were off and Cho Sang has no choice but to push him off to save his own skin as well as the two people behind him. It's messed up that the majority see him as a villain which is too unrealistic and very black and white mindset. I'll ask you (and others) this question, would you have done the same as Cho Sang Woo?

Well, not really (apologies for this whole post if you were being sarcastic and I didn't pick up on it), but I can't take it as a serious criticism because those who are detractors tend to exaggerate it as an issue while ignoring obvious real-life factors like the creator, director, and sole writer of Squid Game not being a native English speaker and the fact the show was made for a Korean audience first and foremost. And that the VIPs are obviously intentionally written as hedonistic freaks for the show's commentary on ultra-capitalism. I can't call something bad that is the way it is on purpose. I'd argue our domestic productions (North American in my case) actually do it worse in terms of butchering direction for foreign languages that may not seem out of place to the local audience, but foreigners would be able to tear a new one. Moreso in past years before greater care has been taken in general, but still...
Everything about the VIPs are ridiculous, they should have saved the money on the silly painted ladies and the fancy couches, and put it toward better CGI. And speaking of the bad CGI, not only does the end of the game make zero sense, but it's the worst looking and worst written moment in the entire show.

idk if you watch anime or not but if you could watch the Demon Slayer movie 🤷♂️
Yeah, the VIP's acting sucks big time! Especially noticeable because everyone else is doing such an amazing job.
I think they shouldve kept the Cast of the VIPs korean, I kinda of think by bringing in the white people it killed the mood of the show plus the writing for them is horrible but besides that it's a phenomenal series
Squid Game is the most popular show on Netflix, which is why I'm avoiding like the plague. Just here to support my girl, have a good day 👍🏼
Yeah, the show's so popular, it made the news.
So edgy.
This mindset makes me cringe so hard lmao
"Oh this thing is popular, I'm gonna avoid it."
It's like those people that love indie bands and then have a hissy fit when their indie band gets popular.
@@onelusciouslad7841 I appreciate your epic attempt...at something . I hope it works out.
i would like to recommend The Nightingale and Green Room thank you have a nice day
:)
Where are the reactions of the other episodes?
@@Luiscota1986 oh ok thanks for clearing that up
Completely agree, the writing for the VIPS is so cringe, and kills the emersion from the show. I’m assuming this was tailored to Koreans who wouldn’t understand the poor delivery of shitty lines. Was my only weak stance on the entire show!
The writing is good. Whats wrong? >:v
Do review to marvel now
The VIP’s sucked. I was so disappointed cause they were so hyped up.
Nice
Please
Not first. But always commenting.
I can’t find your reactions to episode 1-5. 🤷🏼
@@Luiscota1986 I see. Such a shame for us
I respect it much more. She could have not said anything and faked the first 5 episode reactions but she was honest and wanted to give us honest reactions.
Yesss!!!
Hi
yea the vips were overly cringe an shoulda been way better actors, they could did a better job makin them look like rich freaks 100%

What are you on about?
Yes, you are the only one who doesn't like the VIP writing/dialogue.
And speaking of the bad CGI, not only does the end of the game make zero sense, but it's the worst looking and worst written moment in the entire show.
drastic
Sounds like you just didn’t get it pal cause everyone else doesn’t take issue with the effects or the ending of the game
@@lanagievski1540 How are you so tapped into what everybody else is thinking?
@@drasticbread249 Because you're the outlier , the odd one out
@@lanagievski1540 I can't be the only one who thought it was a lame way to kill off the best character in the show. Have you considered that perhaps you're just a narcissist?
