They know to pass down the lies but know nothing about him nor his contributions to their own community or the whole music industry. Can you imagine how his family feels ?
You know what they say the truth will set you free, some people would rather avoid the truth in fear of admitting they are wrong. People just don't want to be wrong even when the truth is easy enough to see. I'm willing to admit when I'm wrong because nobody is perfect. No, I couldn't imagine how Elvis's family would feel, after all they love him and he was a lot of their bread and butter. They knew his warm heart and generosity, they experienced it themselve's which made them love Elvis even more. I remember reading where Elvis shared his icecream with one of his black friend's. Yes, these people were Elvis's friend's and they still love him to this day. They can live in denial if it help's them to feel better about themselve's but we know the truth. Elvis loved Martin Luther King and was devastated when he learned of his death. MLK was a great man and he died for his cause which was peace. Elvis also died an early death for his cause too, a lot of paycheck's depended on Elvis and Elvis loved his fan's. He literally worked himself to death while he was trying to figure out a way to get healthy. There are 2 kind's of people in this world giver's and taker's the giver's don't really get anything back for their giving heart's but they give out of love not reputation. It's all just so ridiculous it's mind boggling.

Educate yourself about other's you will find that the color of one's skin mean's nothing, it's what's inside us that really matter's. People need to stop the ignorance and be more tolerant of our fellow man.
Quincy Jones was in a documentary about Elvis about 20 years ago talking about Elvis on the Dorsey show. He said ZERO about this racist stuff then.... I think it might have been "Elvis Lives" from 2002. I think this is just a case of Quincy being jealous when he sees Elvis' legacy decades after his death, and Quincy then realizes his end of life is coming and he'll probably be forgotten.

Elvis didn't need Quincy Jones to "work with him". Man oh man, these racist stories have always been so ridiculous; all stemmed from jealousy, because Elvis took the spotlight, & yet made it possible to have that door open for anybody. Like EP always said, "there is room for everybody". Racist remarks always hurt him because it was so far from the truth. And yet, you can see down the ages how artists have "borrowed" from EP's unique ways of performing, right down to his outfits!. Truth is, historically, like it or not, Elvis began something that will never end, nor can it be denied; at best, he & his legacy can only be mocked *I can see where Quincy would deflect & have issue with such humble of a talent, as EP, rather than challenge his GOAT status! *This was a great video topic; You articulated a marvelous commentary on the subject, proving, once again why ELVIS IS THE MAN. Excellent, on point, as per usual 👍Great job! 💘
I think Jones is pissed because young black people are discovering Elvis and is gaining a big following among them and even have Utube channels playing Elvis music. They are gaining thousands of followers. They are learning most importantly, white kind of man Elvis was. They've been told the lie about him being racist, but are finding out he wasn't!
I think this could be a big factor as well. I'm not of his generation. Way after. The thriller era to be exact. I'm noted this as well. But have you noticed around the world how many cultures and age groups are huge Elvis fans. Too bad North America has become so blind. I guess you never can go home. I wish people like quincy will stop saying things about people that are not true i would like him to prove Elvis was a racist which is not true.sounds like someone is jealous because people still like Elvis and his music Elvis will never be forgotten

Quincy Jones is a proven liar. In this latest article he says he remembers Otis Blackwell teaching Elvis how to sing his songs. Blackwell was a black songwriter who wrote Don't Be Cruel and All Shook Up. Elvis hadn't even recorded any of those songs when he performed on the Dorsey shows that Jones worked on. Something Quincy didn't know before he opened his mouth before he spoke again (only to hear his voice) is that Elvis and Blackwell never actually met. A few years ago Jones had to backpedal from what he said about Michael Jackson stealing other people's music for the album Thriller. Quincy Jones is one these people who try to make themselves more important than the people who the question is asked about. Years ago when asked about Elvis he said he remembers being backstage as the musical director on the Ed Sullivan when Elvis performed and never mentioned anything like this. Someone should ask Quincy where he saw Otis and Elvis together. Was it the Dorsey show which is before Elvis recorded anything by Blackwell. Or was it months after Elvis recorded anything by Blackwell? Either this racist was around Otis Blackwell 24/7 he is once again lying. I've been stewing on this for days so I'm sorry I went so long.
Elvis was so far above quincy Jones and Ray Charles that if he looked don't he would not be able to see them

Quincy Jones should be ashamed of himself to make comments that Elvis was racist, Quincy has just ruined his own reputation if he had a good one to begin with!! I certainly wouldn't want to work with him if I was a musician, Quincy comes over as a racist!! Whenever I hear that someone accuses Elvis of being racist it makes my blood boil !!
Heard Quincy talking about working with Elvis The Beatles and Michael Jackson saying he'd seen the same thing happen 3 times. He dissed the Beatles recently as well saying none of them were any good as musicians. Seems he has developed a chip on his shoulder. Elvis never sought Quincy out to work with him and wasn't likely too so the idea that Quincy would have the option of turning him down is fantasyland stuff. As for Elvis being racist by his example he did more for breaking down barriers for black music and black artists than anyone else in history. He didn't talk the talk he walked the walk. Quincy Jones has turned into rancid in his old age. Not even the Jacksons like him.
The Presley family never saw colour..As for the music, he grew up listening to the sound like everyone did
Elvis is God's gift to the world, there wasn't any racisms from Elvis to anyone, he truly loved people. I've never been a fan of Quincy Jones, there is nothing humbling about him and he thinks he is higher than anyone else. I'm sorry, but we are all human and we all came from God. Jealousy is a nasty thing and many were jealous of Elvis and his talents, his success. Elvis's fans know who he was and so do all the ones that are jealous of him. They have to put Elvis down thinking it brings them up, it doesn't. There wasn't and isn't any "star/singer" that had the talents Elvis had and stayed humble like Elvis did. He was an extraordinary man who was incredibly talented and had a heart of gold towards everyone.

Nothing surprising that the press would twist someone's words around. Nothing has changed there. Elvis grew up in that environment listening to black music, so as far as Ray Charles goes fu*k him and his legacy. A lot of people are very jealous, because they can not be like him, and with so many years that he is not with us, he is still the most incredible famous singer and star, that you still hear every day on the radio and movies, and he's the only singer they call the king, and even with this, he said, there's only one king, that's GOD. His mother...👍She raised him like that and that was his world and when his world left him that was it!
MUHAMAD ALI SECRETLY PUT ELVIS UP AT HIS HOUSE FOR 2 WEEKS ALEDGEDLY.
I THINK THE WORD RASIST SHOULD BE REEXAMINED BY SOME PEOPLE.
Elvis lived in Tupelo from birth to 8yrs. There was a black boy his age that used to take him to an area of Tupelo called shake rag. Its my understanding that Elvis first experienced black gospel music which permeates across his entire catalog. Why would a guy that hates black people emulate a black sound? In this case Quincy can hit the bricks. Oh and Elvis bought most of his clothes from a store on Beale street called Lansky Bros. They catered to black fashion sensibilities and Elvis loved the place and shopped there until he passed. Can we quit with this please? Oh and one more thing Whitney Houston’s mother sang back ground for him as well.
Jake Cissy Huston she was a backing singer
Elvis did not have a racist bone in his body. He grew up hanging out with black people! He had black friends. The reason he recorded so many back artist songs is because he loved the songs and respected the artist! Listen to a lot of black people he knew or worked with he respected and loved them and it went both ways!
What ashame. To say something like that about a decent human being is horrible. Seems Quincy might be the racist here.
How can Elvis steal black music? He was inspired by it as well as other musical genres and took it to another level. Musical influences, in countless examples, are the inspiration for many artists. To steal something is to perminently deprive someone of something, Elvis didn't do that. Even Elvis said that there will be those that like you and those who don't. Well if QJ was for or against Elvis, I don't think most fans would care!
But the rest of the world believe the opposite. It's right to make his legacy right. Elvis us going down in history as a racist and thief. We need to change this for him and his legacy as well for history. Future generations. 🤔✌️
@@ornellabarbaro3861 There's only a limited amount of morons who say that, so his legacy is fine. Elvis STILL has a rabid fan base that protects his legacy and loves to spread his music to younger generations.
@@rong805 Excellent reply, his legacy is fine. As stated There'll be those that like you and those that won't.
@@ornellabarbaro3861 You do it if you want. I'm not speaking for the world I'm speaking for myself.
This guy is crazy !
Elvis was NOT FASCIST! PERIOD!I
I just lost any respect or regard I ever had for Ray Charles or Quincy Jones.
Elvis LOVED people. Was good to people regardless of color. He had not one ounce of racist in him.
Does he really think even for a moment Elvis needed him.
Those who allege that Elvis was racist must not know about his refusal to play the Houston Astrodome in 1970 without his African American backup singers, The Sweet Inspirations.
That's exactly right!
Elvis would be heartbroken.
Gossip... and he would be very angry.
Sad thing about this is that Quincy Jones is one of the world's biggest producers and whatever he says, some people are gonna believe it. Its a very thoughtless and irresponsible accusation to make by Quincy.
If Elvis was just a movie star and wasn’t an singer, they still wouldn’t like Elvis..
Quincy Jones worked with Sinatra in the mid 60's. Maybe some snobbery there.
I know Elvis did not have a racist bone in his body. NEVER!
Qunicy who? Everyone Worldwide knows Elvis by his first name lol
How anyone could even suggest that Elvis was racist is beyond belief.. his love for his staff at Graceland Sammy Davis, The sweet inspirations to name a few. Elvis loved people, he did not see colour or creed. God forgive him. R.I.P the greatest entertainer that we are likely to see in our life time. 💙
The love for each other..Elvis and Mohammed Ali.
I hate when any slams any deceased star, only a coward does that
Thanks for defending our man. You cannot 'steal' music you can only be influenced by it, reinterpret and regenerate it. This is how music developed into the multiple forms we see today. It's a very ignorant narrative particularly as multiple famous black artists have performed music originating from white writers, musicians and artists but that is conveniently forgotten. Even Michael Jackson paid homage to Fred Astaire as one of his main influences. Music has been a uniting force but the blinkered think it should've remained segregated. As you say, Elvis must have been too big for their liking. The resentment is tangible.
This is coming from the guy that said that The Beatles were horrible musicians and he'd never work with them. He's really losing it lately. What a bunch of crap.
A true ELVIS FAN KNOW ELVIS WAS A LOVING AND GRACIOUS MAN GIFTED MOST OF ALL AND WILL ALWAYS BE LOVED AND RESPECTED FOREVER MORE THAN ANY MAN ON EARTH 🙌🏼
Elvis! The name says it all. An original
