yeaaah as fun as it is i'm kinda iffy on RR CHAIN ON as is, it needs hold me to feel balanced in my opinion - the album definitely is near perfection to me aside from that though
i have them both tbf i really love count on me. I'm currently having fun with weird tracklist orders, despite BUZZCUT being a perfect opener I also really like having either DON'T SHOOT UP THE PARTY, THE LIGHT or WINDOWS first too
it's probably because of the sample in it, probably very very expensive to clear. either that or they were trying to cut out parts in the album that weren't 100% necessary
Listening to Hold Me literally made me so proud of the boys and how far they've come. Dom's verse on RR was fire but honestly think Hold Me version was better.
I will take hold me over count on me any day, I’m just dissatisfied on how they let the track just cut off unlike the rest of the album. But that has been my only complaint on a near perfect album
@@Captainsparkist ironic because it’s arguably the worst track they made in sometime imo. Whistling in songs has always been a turn off, I’ll take you on sounds more like the sugar hyped track to me
Should have included Hold On instead of the Charlie Wilson song, but even with that one, this is Brockhampton's best album by far so I cannot complain.
Just a rant but honestly its because we've been spoiled by techinical difficulties that some songs on RR just dont hit right. Technical difficulties was just rough cuts but the energy was immeasurable, and harked back to saturation days of just fuckin around but making amazing songs. But I think their biggest oversight was bankroll, it was stupid to use that as a tour date teaser, should've save the rocky feature for an actual song, the original production is what i remember, if anything the RR version sounds like a beta version to me - leaves me disatisfied, and then they did another version on technical difficulties, like come ON just leave it and put it on ONE production so that we can accept it as a whole song, rather than recklessly applying different beats to it, and have listeners compare it to the other versions, it ruins it. I know Ian said to go into this with no expectations but how can you do that when you've literally put out a song which was from a snippet you put out there 2 projects ago???? This isn't IGOR, this isn't a solo artist, theres too many elements going on to have NO expectations/comparisons. Also techinical difficulties ruined fergs verse for me, it had SO MUCH more energy on TD than RR, felt wasted and rushed to just mash it in bankroll. Overall the album is polished and clean, but after technical difficulties was unpolished and rough, that contrast makes me feel indifferent to RR (except the light 1+2, ofc). It'll most likely grow on me, but techinical difficulties left a huge impression on me that this one just doesn't do and can't easily replace. TL:DR - They should've kept the features under wraps on technical difficulties, they royally fucked up with bankroll, and RR hasn't left a strong impression vs TD, making me indifferent to the whole album SO FAR
Technical difficulties version is better in my opinion. New album is bomb though.

Roadrunner: Slightly older light, extended machine
hold on should've been on the album
Needed this so bad. After listening to Hold Me so much the ending of Chain On blue balled me hard
that transition is so much better than into COUNT ON ME
Count on me is still a pretty good track, but I replaced it with hold me in the tracklisting and it works so much better for the album

damn right. I saw some youtube uploads getting copyrighted and only showing the "hold me" part. fuuuuck that
Lol I was waiting for someone to make this
please make a bankroll version WITH the og rocky verse
it's done already hehe x
@@BROCKHAMPTONEdits link?
I get there's samples involved so they couldn't really include hold me but damn chain on works so much better with hold me.
I smell a RR extended coming soon
Hold me was so damn good I hate that they cut it

@@matthewparks1193 yeah cuz of the samples, theres so many samples in hold me

might be wrong but they didn't release hold on due to the Gil Scott Heron and KRS-one samples
Should've been like this on the album
plz don’t let this video get clapped lol

I feel like they just wanted another hit like Sugar to blow up

any updates on a new TD album with all the stuff they played on the tiktok livestream? you'd be my hero

naaah I'LL TAKE YOU ON is incredible both tracks can coexist
No way, I'LL TAKE YOU ON is a masterpiece
@@BROCKHAMPTONEdits I like it, weakest of the album, and it’s still like a 7/10
