I got mine with the Hay House Deck Club Box. I'd never consider purchasing a "deck" with so few cards on its own, especially one that's just affirmations without even a guidebook. No way is 12 cards worth $10, even double sided. The problem with affirmations is that for some/many, the statements are untrue so the subconscious immediately rejects them and this can actually make people feel worse rather than better. Science has shown this. So I think we need to be super careful with affirmations because they can be detrimental to our mood and self esteem. We have to be careful with how affirmations are phrased, as they definitely can fall into toxic positivity and bypassing.
I love watching your videos, and your commentary of them, this style of affirmation deck isn’t what I’m looking for unfortunately. I could see someone using them as art, a gift - my first thought would putting them in resin as cute coasters lol.
It is a super cute deck and I love it's double-sided. The art fits the theme really well. Though I do agree that the price point feels high, but it was a good deal for the club box. Thanks for sharing :)
