I think this is the best performance of this piece that I've seen on RUclips. The musicians are of one musical idea throughout, and it is very pleasing to hear their interpretation. I think this is the closest to what the composer intended, and I don't think there is any higher compliment that could be paid to the musicians. Three musicians acting completely as one - as the title suggests. What a great performance. Thank you for sharing your talent, and the musical ideas you have collectively brought to this piece, with us!
NO comment is necessary, since these musicians have NAILED it! But I will say a couple of things, as a wind player myself. The level of musicianship that is displayed here is unbelievable. Note especially at 3:38 with the anticipation of the gentleman on the left - this is amazing control and musicianship. The onslaught that follows, balanced by the total regaining of absolute control at 3:43. Later, when the casual observer feels all has digressed to randomness - uh uhhhh - the musicians are in total and complete control as individuals and an ensemble, even with sticks flying everywhere. BEAUTIFUL!!!! This is a trio of consummate musicians above all, and it is heartening to note that the future of music is in such good hands. I wish for the day when these people can play in my group! Great job gentlemen!!!!! Bravo!!!!!!
