Little tip, when installing new rotors use couple lugs to hold in place until you get brake calipers on. It makes everything go back on smooth and easy.
It is a good idea to remove the master cylinder cap and use a rag or paper towels to keep debris out. If the brake pads are worn way down you may experience a little bit of overflow when backing the pistons down. Great video nonetheless!
Pulled my driver side front off today to do my own brakes, I've done brakes before but decided to watch this to make sure no surprises would jump out at me. Turned out both pads had 1/4" or more on them, I guess the noise is in the rear pads. Also discovered a seized guide bolt on the bottom, made it nearly impossible for the new pads to go on. Ended up spraying the guide bolt with PB and reassembling with the old pads again. I'll give the rear pads a shot 2morrow.
Thanks for the info! Only thing I would add would be to bleed the caliper as you compress it to remove brake fluid that can get contaminated inside the caliper.
You mentioned Oceanside and I’m in Vista…I don’t have all the tools but do need to replace the pads (and hopefully not rotors but tbd) on my ‘18 F250. Can I pay you vs going to a local shop?
Planning on doing this in the next few days, newest vehecle ive worked on and was wondering if its not nessesary to bleed the brakes anymore? Do you have a video for the rear brakes as well?
Grate video the only thing is I thought you should open the bleeder valve so not to have the brake fluid go backwards threw the A B S system that is all But a very good video keep up the good work and thank you

Great video! Any opinion on the use of Powerstop slotted and drilled rotors on Superduty trucks or would you recommend sticking with OEM.
Stick with oem.

Does it normally smell like burning after you change break pads adjusting to the rotors for a couple of miles ?
