I've never heard the contrast of the high you get from drugs vs the high you get from faith. Thank you for talking about that briefly. It shows me a lot more about how evil imitates good in a distorted and backward way.
I smoked weed at the age of 14 I would smoke a lot but I only did it because I was very depressed and suicidal I wanted to numb my anxiety and everything I was going through in my teen years after being saved I fill into sin and started smoking again but eventually I had enough it was not filling me i felt emptiness. I finally stopped decided to put God first it’s been 6 Yrs that I have not smoked any of it. I believe many use it to escape their reality that was me before.
@@marcella.hudson Keurig is trash. Colombia has the best beans in the world. The quality of roast MATTERS. Good baristas are hard to come by.. but definitely drink a class of water before a cup of coffee in the morning ❤️
@@thehandlebarpodcast ♥️ how is it different from weed in terms of altering/heightening your state? real question is how is it different from any other mind enhancing/addictive substance/drug?
@@marcella.hudson Notice how they predictably neglected to reply to you…The American church is littered with hypocrisy. They can have their ‘drug’ but others cannot engage in medicine. Recognized pastors can be the size of a sea lion and recommend prescription drugs, but the plant that was once widely illegal is a no-no. Coffee should not even be necessary on a church Sunday if the Spirit is flowing in a gathering unless someone barely slept the night before. God Bless, sister in Christ.
@@marcella.hudson, I love this question. If we aren’t to alter our minds by “substances” - then we shouldn’t be taking any medication at all… water only and praying, right? And with that, are we no longer relying on God’s gift of doctors and medicine? What about anti-depressants? What if you can never get to sleep at night and you have been praying, reading, doing everything you can for years and it still makes no difference… are we not allowed to take medicine that helps us sleep? How would a sleep-time weed gummy differ from a prescribed medication that knocks you out? What about people that are on the spectrum? They can’t take medicine? People with things like ADHD? OCD? The list goes on…
Come on - “ if you are going to follow Jesus, the invitation is to deny yourself “ 😭 SO GOOD. SO TRUE!

Thinking this after newly becoming Christian and seeing it in every church lobby / as a core part of the culture 🕊️

Also good how the Bible talks about sorcery and witchcraft and the word pharmacy (drugs) comes from the word witchcraft
