A little disappointed in this video. I signed up for the presentation and it turned out to be a hardcore sales pitch for the course, with the promise of an interview. How does that work? @@Bighomie1911 No. If they're selling a course and not providing an apprenticeship, it's to fund their prop firm from suckers, bro and get the best of them to join in to trade such funds. this works, sometimes several times in a month. but you will need lots of tape read experience before knowing how to spot the failed attempt. the statement let it consolidate after break is what tells you, the speaker knows what hes talking about. being late is a confirmed decision but need higher stop loss points, thus high risk high reward is always something to tradeoff of. timing is everything and its what makes it hard to do consistently
Thanks for more context to add to the previous short video from the weekend! I will look to study charts in this way when looking for scalps and adopt the ranking system. Really good way to make sure traders stick to higher probability setups
100 percent correct....I look for a possible breakout and see how hard the resistance is and current market conditions...I always say when a stock has stong big order bulls it's bull..Thats why certain stocks keep showing up repeatedly on the top gainers list and become your money wells. You see it in the chart with higher highs. Usually happens more in bull markets...Took me months to figure out to wait for the right scalp moments and have tight exits. Variables like 10x avg volume, low float, low short interest and watching for manipulation in the level 2 is also important.. There might be a lot of variables but when you've seen the patterns on a daily basis you can spot a winner at a better success rate.
I definitely see this all the time. Your example is from 2022 and AMD just did a very similar move on 2/23/24. It was looking like a backside potentially back up to vwap but then it failed and became an excellent short, exactly as you describe.

I'm curious to hear how you would change number 1 if you only scalp ES? Figure out what type of market day ES is going to have? Choppy, rotation, trend, etc?
This is solid advice. I developed a mean reversion trade that needs about 10 criteria to be met for it to be a 10/10 quality trade... when all the criteria are present, it works so easily it's crazy. Cut that to only 6 and it's like a 50/50 probability. I've learned to base my position size on the number of criteria I have in my favour.
I was mentored to scalp off algo type price action....8-21ema flip, 8-21ema crossovers, vwap 5 min reversals off gap ups and gap downs. These algo types are scalps that payout but burn you if you leave the risk on longer than an instant.
yea- whats super interesting to me is the context around trades like this, the flips as you mentioned. What I really like to do is take the core concept but spend time understanding why that concept could work, and then identifiy the situations where it should work, and then just let those highest EV moments show up.
Thanks for the valuable experience. Scalping is really not for every trader. It is especially cool to scalp those stocks from the opening that you traded positionally yesterday and understand the situation well today.

This value is incredible - I’ll definitely be putting this into action when I start trading. Question; when looking for stocks in play do you want all 3 catalyst, daily key level and 3+ RVOL? Or is just one sufficient? Obviously just all 3 would be best. But just wondering if one is sufficient.
to play it safe, look for all 3. If one of the 3 is really good, like a really important catalyst, say like GOOGL today on the AI presentation, you can get away with not needing all 3, but most times, all 3 factors can keep you focused on the right stocks.

That zone probably was a 4hr supply zone. So theoretically, it didn’t break. It broke dtrong to the downside, price had a retracement that lasted several days, touched 4hr supply and sold and broke structure heavily to the downside. So yes, my friend, it is a high probability sell zone 💯

Hey guys, just putting this out here for anyone who sees this to reply. I needed your take on what I should do to get into prop. I had dropped out of college in 2019 and that was a year into trading . It took me a little over three years to start seeing any consistent profits. However, I intend to go back to school to pickup from where I left off. I reside in India, I trade the Indian markets and that has made it really hard for me attend my lectures. I have come to a work around to that problem- trade the US market at night (on account of the fact that I worked night shifts to get to where I am as a trader now). However, I lack the capital, and the infrastructure to make that switch on my own, and am hence looking into prop desks that trade the US markets around me. I've been seeing more green months than red this past one year and even though the markets have changed in the past 3 months or so, I kept my losses small and have adapted and I think I will put up another green month in November. All that said, in the past, I have been rejected by firms on account of my lack of degree and that was not making any money when I applied earlier.
