I use the G16 2.5X on pretty much all of my classes. Even when sniping with the SVT-40. It just feels perfect to me. (Especially after having unlocked one of the later reticles that's just a simple yellow dot in a cross.)
type 99 scope is awful, would be nice if they changed it to look like kar or 3line scope cause it looks like an acog w zoom and its terrible to see through it
The cool thing is that you can take a reticle that you unlocked in zombies, and use it in multiplayer. That way you can have a small dot reticle. At least this is what I do.
I wish they had better reticles for the reflector optics. I was hyped to see them return from bo4 but they cant just give us a simple dot... (not talking about slate btw)
Love the video as always excellent content. Slate has been my go to since beta and 2.5x is my go to for long range engagements. Side note slight miss on the editing at 8:51
I really wish the zombies unlocked reticles worked as they are supposed to. All the 1.35x have the Bullseye Diamond option fore a nice white dot with a white circle outside. You need 1500 kills to unlock and its really sharp looking at the selection screen, but it's bugged and you only get a white circle. Split Diamond also looks nice.
Facts bro i wanted the third to last zombies one and its bugged asf. The main complaint I have this year. Other than the dropshot ads bullshit that feature dumb asf i been dropshotting for years by habit had to un learn it.
What irks me is that a few of the zombies reticles that don't work properly have the purple tint, which I've noticed is one of the best colors to have in shooters. If there's a high intensity scenario where you need to see your target, purple stands out the best.
Just gave the type 100 irons a go and it feels a lot snappier and they’re really clean. Would prolly feel really good on lmgs and marks rifles if you’re looking to be aggressive
This is the kind of comparison I would like to see ingame, that you actually see how the optic is before entering gameplay. You did it instead of developers, Ace. Thanks a lot. :)
What I love about the hybrid slate 1.25 custom is if you have a gun with heavy recoil and an obstructive mag, you could use that to help with recoil while toggling to slate to lower the magazine
That g16 scope is a must for me idc what weapon i use. Most of these maps are pretty big but can still use it close range as well. Great balanced optic!
I love the Saturn a lot, I use it on anything but SMG's which I tend to prefer the Slate for most of them. If the gun has a good alternate iron site I'll use that though for the ADS.
The magnification for the Saturn is weird well the curvature of the glass I should say.... The "magnifying glass effect" makes the sight warped so the bullets don't go where the sight is but I really like the sight tho
I've been experimenting with the using just the slate portion of the hybrid ones because although it increases ADS a little, the 2+ recoil reduction and accuracy is really noticeable with the low zoom of the slate. It's actually a really great optic imo.
I just discovered this myself today and its great. I was using the Versailles Automaton and when I switched to the slate reflector attached to the scope it was almost zero recoil.
Personally I like the hybrids for use on the snipers you can get the mid range you need in most situations but can have access to the longer range sight when you can actually get set up in a good position
When they showed the very first walk through of campaign gameplay. The sight on the Kar that was picked up isn't even in the game. And it was absolutely gorgeous, go watch Vangaurds very first gameplay reveal and yall will see. Then you will be upset it's not in the game. I'm sorry, I can't be the only one pissed about this lol
Slate you can run on pretty much anything I was sniping across castle with it on an SVT/Kar Saturn is also really nice on Marksman/Snipers but I didn't like it on AR's that much. G16 2.5 is great and the 3.5 rifle scope is perfect for sniping once you unlock the clean dot reticle I avoid all of the other sights
I run the slate reflector on all myblownzoom scopes at this time, and love g16 2.5x. But I've unlocked all the reticles for that and to 3.5 scope so now I'm running m38 slate/2.5 hybrid. Which I like.
I just wish the stated zoom level translated to actual zoom level. Swapping back and forth between the 3.5x optic and the 3x-6x optic, the 6x setting doesn’t seem to provide any more magnification than the 3.5. So in reality it’s more like a 2x-3.5x scope. TrueGameData has listed actual zoom values on his website for the previous games. Hopefully he’ll do the same for Vanguard guns. But he shouldn’t have to. The game should simply state actual zoom values.
I just used the Slate Reflector and I think the 1.5x zoom Mk2 Sunfilter thingy the box one just for a tiny bit more zoom, but never really gave it much thought as to which was better kind of just looked at the zoom and then looked to see which one looked aesthetically better on the gun I'm using. I like box sights on LMGs but for ARs I like the circular ones more personally but yeah didn't think about which one actually helps.
The G16 2.5X optic also has +85.2% idle sway control which is the highest idle sway control out of all the optics. The next highest is +82.2% on the ZF4 3.5X. All the other rifle scopes are about +73%.
I'm sure you have it planned but can you please do an analysis of the suppression mechanic sooner than later? I feel like as a new core mechanic it's not well explained in game and we probably don't know all the effects it has.
We should be able to take reticles from other optics (even if they are as unlocks). Like using the monocular reflector reticle on the mk. 3 reflector as an example.
I like Saturn, 2.5x, Night Vision and 4-8. I just wish there wasn't glint on the 4-8x scope or at least attachments on other guns to reduce the glint. That's 1 thing I don't like about comprehensive class system gives optics glint or slowing ads speed.
I run the M38/Slate 2.5x Custom on everything because it's the only 35x optic with recoil and bloom reduction (+2 to both if you noticed which is more than the G16 which is what I run until I unlock the M38/Slate) and the hit to ADS speed isn't bad.
On most weapons, I use the iron sights that are given at lvl 70 since it decreases ads time. The low level magnification sights don’t add enough to the accuracy for me to and use them over the milliseconds it provides in ads and time to shoot. In a fast CODs that matters more to me vs something slower like WZ. I also use the svt-40 PU scope 3-6x on snipers and marksmanship rifles because they give the strongest magnification without an optic glint.
The Slate Reflector is obviously supposed to be like the G.I. Mini Reflex from MW2019, which was a great sight, but for some reason I don't vibe with the Slate. Its frame is too small and it's kinda obtrusive. I prefer the MK 3 and even the MK 8 with a different reticle than the standard one.
I really like the 2.5 for small to medium maps and the 3-6 for the bigger maps. The 3-6 works awesome on my long range build for automaton and really good for sniper rifles.
It's worth mentioning that the 3.5x rifle scope is already unlocked for the SVT-40, if not the other marksmen, when you unlock the weapon itself even though it's halfway down the optics list. A weird but pleasant surprise that you don't have to grind a marksmen to get an optic good enough for sniping. I've been sniping with the SVT. And I like that the rifle scope has enough zoom without glint and no stupid accidental toggling when you try to hold breath by mistake like the hybrids. I wish they would fix the high zoom hybrids so that holding L3 would steady aim and clicking it would toggle, at least on semi-autos and bolt actions. Really annoying. I also like the rifle scope for long range full auto setups and tend to go with the 2.5x for the others. I tend to like some zoom on my sights, especially now that I finally have a FOV slider.
There's an optic that's 1.35 I believe, rather clean and the zombies reticle turns it into a purple dot, yet zombies reticles don't work properly feels bad
something to note. i found certain optics like the saturn have more ADS bloom. I noticed this immediately when i noticed more of my shots off center. there was another 1.5 and 2.3 optic that was completely off center. some of the optics in this game are actually broken
Love the 2.5x in Multiplayer - as long as it's not deathmatch on a maze-like crowded map. Absolutely HATE that crazy big reticle on the one optic ( you know what I'm talking about ).
I use the 2.5 until I get the 3.5 sight, there are many great sights in this game that I love and finally won't mind using when blueprints finally arrive but the biggest thing is the obstructive reticles.
2.5 scope all day on AR’s. Versatile like the MW VLK and CW Axial Arms. Base reticle is great but there’s an even better one where it still has the cross hairs but the center is a dot instead of a cross.
That 2.5 is my go to for pretty much everything.
Same except I don't like it up close, if an enemy goes to my side I need to yank it over and by then I've lost track.
it has some of the best reticle choices too
Absolutely! The single chevron reticle is my favorite.
I found the siege player
I was getting ready to comment the same thing.
8:52 Oh no boys, Ace is having another stroke
I seriously thought it was my phone lol
Packet Burst lol

I swapped over to the 3.5x rifle scope on my SVT once I also unlocked the cross/dot sight but 2.5x is also really nice
Exactly the same for me haha
How can i unlock more crosshairs for the g16? It says I have to get kills with ACOG scopes but what the fuck are ACOG scopes??

ACE FORGOT TO CUT THIS LMAO
type 99 scope is awful, would be nice if they changed it to look like kar or 3line scope

Idk I kinda like it
Yeah I hate it tbh it’s why I don’t wanna use that gun tbh I just wait to unlock the kar

To make it worse it comes off ur left shoulder 😆

Same exact reaction, once I saw those giant reticles I was so pissed.
Totally agree 100%. Love the simple dot and can't stand the giant oddly shaped reticles.
Activision is fucking with us✌
There is a decent one as you unlock more reticles for it. It still isn’t as good as a simple dot but it looks like this ( ^ )
@@Rev8691 yeah ive been using it but id prefer just a dot
The Pacific theatre was notorious for the abundance of Aimpoint red dots and japanese reflex sights
The saturn sight is just SO clean
I also like that anything above 1.35 or 1.5 zooms more within the optic than your fov changes

The reticles in zombies don’t seem to work in MP, also the reticle I choose in zombies changes when I pack a punch
What irks me is that a few of the zombies reticles that don't work properly have the purple tint, which I've noticed is one of the best colors to have in shooters. If there's a high intensity scenario where you need to see your target, purple stands out the best.
Zombies is unplayable currently . Way too slow of gameplay . Need round based or just get rid of it
An it’s still bug out . With a white circle
What about the iron sights as attachment? Do they really decrease your ADS time? Is it noticeable in 60fps?
Ahh. Good query. I’m about to get max level on a couple guns and this would be nice to know
Especially the type 100. Ads is really the only down side to that beast.
The ads times in the menus seem to only increment in 60ths of seconds so i would assume it's 1 frame faster than red dot yes
Just gave the type 100 irons a go and it feels a lot snappier and they’re really clean. Would prolly feel really good on lmgs and marks rifles if you’re looking to be aggressive
I believe the stats that you can see in game are accurate, iirc it's only a small bonus to ADS speed. Not really worth it.
This is the kind of comparison I would like to see ingame, that you actually see how the optic is before entering gameplay. You did it instead of developers, Ace. Thanks a lot. :)
I love the repeat outro you left in at the end. Great vid as always man!
Ace should be at 1 Mill subs years ago. Best COD coverage out there 🙏
He would be if cod was better rip my boi ace
What I love about the hybrid slate 1.25 custom is if you have a gun with heavy recoil and an obstructive mag, you could use that to help with recoil while toggling to slate to lower the magazine
the Mod 2 and 3 Sunfilter feel like the EO Tech Holo sight which I just love the aesthetic of so I really like rolling with those.
Me with my Iron Sights on every gun: "Eh, probably not. But the aesthetic tho!"
Back in my day we had 3 sights, red dot , holographic and Acog
I just wanna put the anti-aircraft sight the mg42 has on everything, I love that thing and I think it'd be hilarious to put on some of the guns.
That g16 scope is a must for me idc what weapon i use. Most of these maps are pretty big but can still use it close range as well. Great balanced optic!

G16 2.5 is my main one on AR/LMG…cant wait to see it in WZ
I rock the 2.5x on just about every class minus snipers. Such an underrated sight.
Quite a few viable optics in Call of Duty: Packet Burst, it's an area of the game they bothered to sort out.
My god, every other game. What a nightmare, this should honestly be their number one priority.
The reason why this game has packet Bursts is because this game is just 64 GB it's streaming Textures in real time through Internet
@@ChandranPrema123 But when you turn that off it still happens.
You know there's a setting to turn off so you don't get packet burst right?

That infrared scope actually looks great Stat wise. Just add an aim down sight grip and you still get plus two recoil control
Excellent as always Ace, I'd like to see them give us the simple dot option on more than just the one slate reflector.
The 3-6 Times is the best scope after the 2,5 time. Sometimes its so hard to see people at lower zome...
