Never heard of Amati brand drums they look classy and sound good. Like the lug design and classy metal script shell badges..reminds me of Rogers script shell badges and the high-end Sonor badges.
Should hear them with mufflers off (they look to be "on" watching the heads but I may be wrong) but as much as I can hear they sound like sharp edges drums, too "boxy" to my ears. Personal tastes' realm here though.
Back in 2002, when I started playing drums, Amati was the limit of dreams. Now that the market is full, Amati still remains a good-sounding drum set.

Snare has new type Aquarian, the others are the original heads (smooth, not coated)
