Thanks for taking along on your projects. I am learning so many techniques through your videos. I have no formal art training, so its very helpful when you talk about creating shadows, shading and value. Thanks for also showing us how you make/fix mistakes Julie. I find your videos inspiring, and my favorite way to spend a Monday morning is with a cup of coffee and your latest posting.

Music was on point this time! And man, that's a lot of prep going into those mandalas! Hope the people from your community mandala watch your videos so they see that the circles don't just come pre-made! So awesome that you're putting in time for that, hope they come out as good as the last batch! I'm in love with the fence mosaic, and I love how you used big pieces of white for the big central posts. Was wondering how you would do that. Always interesting to see how you use and mix different sized pieces. Watching you finish Chester was really nice, can't wait to see the grouting process again to see how it turns out! Reaaaaally curious about the next pieces you'll be starting next week! Can't wait!!! Keep it up, your videos are the best on mosaics I've seen! Thanks again for the time you put in to make these! It's keeping me going on my own mosaic project!

Laura, thanks for the feedback! This batch is much more work than the first three! I think the mandalas are going to be amazing when done!

Chester is looking beautiful in the bed of green grass. The fence has come up very nicely and the whole piece is what one would call a Piece De Resistance !!! Now waiting for next Monday to see the finishes and beginning of the promising Mandalas 😍

Thank you, Rupa! This last part is the most exciting, but it makes me a bit sad to finish and see them go...

Another great video! The wildflowers project looks amazing!! Love how you’ve done that. Chester is looking good! I’m so glad you did the grass, I have wondered how to do that, and I love your technique.
By the way, the music was better today, not as loud, which makes it way better!

Love the lady bird ring and pendant - very cure. Any tips on cutting the filati? I’ve tried with nippers and they just shatter. Can’t get a clean cut.

I have one pair of Leponitts that cuts it and one with the wheeled blades just a tiny bit too far apart! There is another way - you can score it with a Diamond micro file and snap it. I haven't tried it, but here is a link to the micro files: www.dimosaico.com/micromosaic-tools-and-supplies/

@@mazzonimosaics8222 - thanks! I will try to track down a supplier in Australia, as US shipping costs pretty high. .

Your work is amazing. How do you nip those tiny pieces and have the bottom of the piece the same size as the top? When I've tried to get slivers, the bottom (glue side) always ends up smaller. Can't seem to get a good 90 degree break.

I used a scoring tool for the grass pieces. Then nipped them just a bit to fit.

Check the description. Not sure which project you mean, but I typically use Weldbond for interior projects.
