the gameplay section at the end is what made this guide standout against most others. showing real match examples of everything talked about in the video with pauses explaining the thought process reinforces the information taught before. much better than the guides where they ramble in training mode for over an hour going through every move. good stuff, hope to see more.

I agree to this. I was surprise how he is still talking to us and letting us know what is happening, IN REAL MATCHES, DURING MATCHES. :) thank you

the way you kept everything simple and worried only about the core important stuff made it VERY easy to understand and helped me immensely with getting into lars!!

great tutorial, many guides put it in the title that it's for beginners but fail to understand that some of these people have no idea about the game at all, and you cover that quite well :-)

As someone newer to fighting games outside of smash games, this is the type of stuff I am looking for. Simple stuff to build a foundation and so I’m not just going into ranked getting blasted with no game plan.

    1. Good choice to add the controller up right
    2. Good choice to add the infos for things like 'ws' ; 'mix ups' etc.
    3. Very beginner friendly video, not like all of the others videos on youtube where they dont explain very clearly for a beginner player.

Also combo folow ups also start learning to cancel that stance by pressing up in to sidestep

I'm a bit lost about what you are talking about around 13:30. You mention ch b4 (channel back 4 or what is ch?) when you counter hit, however no matter what I do I cannot make my character do the move you do. If I manually enable counter hit in in the practice settings I get the full grab animation, but you seem to be doing some channeling move after your 1,2 jab. How exactly do you input this, or what needs to happen for that move to play out like that?

The grab animation only comes out on counter hit. CH means Counter Hit. Counter hit is when you hit your move while the opponent is in the startup animation of their move.
That "channel" animation is a ki charge. It enables a counter hit condition on the next attack. I use it in training mode, because it is faster to do a counter hit move that way, than going into the practise settings and enabling counter hits.
You can do a ki charge by pressing all 4 attack buttons at the same time.

So when your useing your forward 3 press 1 right afterwards it puts you in +1 on block

Very good to gather info on what the opponent is doing.

Bushin Lars here, compared to some of the cast, he literally is. He doesn't have any command intensive flowcharts or difficult inputs lmao. His execution is mad easy. Any difficulty playing Lars comes from the fact that his pressure and mixups are largely committal
