Thought this was a pretty underrated play from this past week ! Edit: Oh yea forgot to mention this was the longest field goal in Mountain West history.
So the elevation of Colorado springs(6035) is higher than that of Denver(5280); meaning even thinner air but regardless of that It was a hell of a kick.
I don't watch college football but this came up in my feed. When there's a badass kicker, I love it. Usually the most boring part of a game is field goals and kick offs (with all the player safety rules). But seeing dudes hit 60+ yard FGs or an Australian punter who can precisely maneuver the ball to roll out of bounds inside the 5 is just some of the best skill you'll see in the game. I think in 10 years every team will have a superstar kicker cuz there just isn't enough of them now!
Unreal what a kick i cant believe he netted that. I dont think ive ever seen a kicker net a kick from that distance. Anyone else think the same? And anyone know net from post distance so we can give an accurate guess on how far away he truly could have hit that one. I know 69 yards is the longest ever college kick by some guy from abeline christian University years ago and def not division 1 but still a college record. 3 yards longer than nfl currend record
SDSU with the best kickers and punters in the country recently. That said, we suck ass this year : ( (but we had a rough schedule with 3/4 of our recent opponents that really should be in the top 25 - boise shouldn't be anywhere close)
He's a good kid off the field. Stays out of trouble and has good parents. Only have to worry about false accusations, like the last punter had to deal with 😢

Ref mic trash 😔
ANOTHER 60+ YARD FIELD GOAL MADE! SICK
This season is going to be insane
That would've DEFINITELY been good from 70 yards. That looked like it might've made 80 yards. It hit fairly high up on the netting.
🧢
Idk about 80 but it was a damn impressive kick regardless. Certainly around 70
80 yards, lol
Looks like 65-66 to me
not even close to 80 yards but I'd say probably good from 67-68
Wow! What a kick!
Amazing what the thin air, little wind at your back, and a very talented kicker can combine to do!

That's already the second this season I believe. Wow.
And interestingly they both broke the conference records for longest in history.
@@pscburner1926 Very cool statistic!
@@pscburner1926but they didn’t have to do it against K-State :(. He could have missed and blame it on the delay of game his coach caused.
Refs Mic is broken 😭💀0:10
no that's how he normally talks 🙄

You should look up Brett Thorson coffin corner punt against Tennessee in 2022!
My brother lives in Lakeside East County SD.... they are hillbillies and proud of it
That was an absolute boom of a kick good for him
He drilled it
thin air is nice!
Wow, that man is going to score alot of points.
Can't wait to see the first 70 yard field goal. It's coming.
WOW!
Hope to see that guy in the nfl
I hope AF is ranked next week. I really think they've a strong Power5 team.
This would have beaten Justin Tucker's holy shit
Laramie, Wyoming, the highest in elevation in the conference doesn't have that record?
Not yet... we have a great kicker in John Hoyland this year. He could break it. GO POKES!
What was that said at 0:43? 😅
It’s a shame that these field goals probably were more than the attempted amount because it’s unofficial that they were 70+ yards
More difficult kick than the NFL too due to the wider hash marks. Very impressive
The ball that flied in the AIR FORCEd cadets to be surprised (regardless of the final score...)

New rule* 4 points for 60 + field goals!? What if?
You know Brady Hoke started clapping after that one
ElPaso air is fun

As for that momentum... final score was 49-10. 🤣🤣
"If a field goal kicker can give you momentum, you may have just seen it right there." ............ 10-49
Lets just hope he ends up better than the last great kicker from SDSU
Punt God to FG God
✌🏼🙏🏼
SDSU had Punt God, now FG God. Hopefully he’s a much better person off the field!
It's being thrown out, the girl lied. Ruined his career over nothing.
Real sad story. That girl should do time for lying and ruining a young professionals career

yeah, unfortunately the last points the aztecs would score in this one, az the air force rolled over em bigly in this one..........
No doubt this kicker will be drafted once he enters it.
Bro has the average csgo russian mic fr
And with the #1 pick of the 2024 NFL draft, the Chicago Bears take ...
...as long as he doesn't double-doink.
Transfer him to Texas. UT’s kicker needs to be replaced BADLY!
Just earning himself a shot at an nfl roster.
Welcome to the NFL
