I heard that Antonio Banderas (Puss' voice actor) came up with the idea for this movie after surviving a heart attack that nearly killed him. I'm sorry that happened to him, but sooo glad he used that experience to inspire this amazing movie.
the coins over his eyes was what used to be done to corpses before they were buried, as it was thought that when you died you were "taken across" by ferryman (the coins were to pay him)
That was more a greek mythology thing that mutated from when it was started. Some regions felt that staring into the eyes to the dead(since they often get stuck open due to rigor mortis) that it could take your soul with it(basically become cursed to die next, or be haunted until you do).
@@AMStryx the greeks put the coins in the mouth or near the body for the most part; i think i confused myself between "coins over the eyes to keep them shut" (victorian) and charon's obol lol but thank you👍🏾👍🏾
When death first appears, the clock of the bar plays nine times, when the ninth play the candle at the front of the scene turns off, and Puss is drinking his ninth glass of milk. A lot of indications of his presence, except for one, before the first fight for the map Puss was watching Jack and his men fight the killer flowers, but anywhere in the map was Death when the map is supposed to track everyone. Second, when Death said he was always watching, he wasn't lying. All the cards with the number of deads of Puss had a wolf in at the corners, and during the fight with the giant, in the left corner you can see him in a dark alley, watching. As a curiosity, a fan made an animation of Death finally going to claim Puss's last life, when he was already old and in a hospital. He greeted Death like a friend, teasing him that he took his time to go for him, Death asked how was his life and he answered that it was a good life.

If you zoom into one of the scenes in the beginning where Puss in Boots was counting down last wishes Death Whistle was in the back of the crowd of people. I had to double take it a few times but it's scary lol
Now all that's missing is Shrek Forever After... but speaking of that, I WAS ALREADY WAITING FOR THEM TO REACT THE SEQUEL OF PUSS IN BOOTS AND FINALLY… IT FINALLY HAPPENED xD. Let's not lie, that movie is INSANE..💥💫
I have watched Puss in boots 2 many times, it's better than the first movie. I'm glad I got to you guys react to it. Thanks I enjoyed the reaction video, see ya😊❤
The sequel of Puss in Boots is incredibly awesome. Our hero is back to more actions and adventures. Death is the greatest and baddest villain of all time 😼😼😼☠️☠️☠️🔥🔥🔥

Its really amazing when actors draw from their real life experiences to make movie moments more genuine
It's crazy how something so terrible could create something so amazing. Antonio is incredible
I swear Death is by far the coldest character in this movie fr all his scenes are badass
He’s got AURA!
Death is by far one of my favorite dreamworks villains, he's so simple but so incredibly well done

@@jnne4048 Honestly there's still some debate on the origins of those customs so it could've been both.

I'm so happy you guys talked about the panic attack scene. Most reacters have skimmed over it
At the end he's scared of Death, he just no longer fears him, and he'll meet Death again because Death is the inevitable end-point of all existence.
