Do you have to bleed the oil line when you reconnect it? If not, how come?

Can you remove the pin holder that orientates the throttle plunger?

Is this good for only the past few years or will this carb work on an early 2000s model as well

There have been small changes but this carburetor has been largely the same since this bike came out in 1981.

Why are you not removing the idle screw?

I just replace my carburetor with the qa parts one and I just can’t get it to run right I put a new throttle cable at the same time the bike only runs at full throttle and barely so at that any tips will help

Hmm, is the throttle stuck open? I'd recommend pulling the air box off and verifying that the slide is sitting all the way down in the carburetor body. It might need some adjustment with the throttle cable/idle adjuster. Let me know what you see and we'll go from there. -Charles

@@rmatvmc I think I got it figured out. I believe I got a defective carb. The float bowl sits to high I can get it to run a little better with the air screw all the way out but it is no a permanent fix. I spoke with a RM customer service tech and he said QA part’s should contact me tomorrow. The customer service at RM is unmatched in my opinion. I’ve never been left with a defective part.

So you didn’t show how to take that last hose.

That's the line that comes from the oil pump. It doesn't need to be routed anywhere, just remove it from the carburetor when taking it off and hook it back up when going back together.

Thanks the reason I had ask was because on mine the hose don’t have a regular clamp is like crimp on the hose.
