I greatly appreciate this Lambo. I'm not a modder but am very interested in seeing how it is done. I feel like some modders don't like to share the process.
As my experience goes, Some viewers take the info here and use it as clout. Rude to others and just over all toxic. I personally despise helping people like that. That's why some of my dark secrets will only be on patreon or channel membership once we get the basics shared.
This is fabulous. I'm trying to make some modded productions, but most of the resources for new modders are about vehicles, not buildings. I am VERY grateful for you putting this together.
@LAMBOMODS i would love (in the future, once you're out of things to talk about lol) to understand how the game handles things like modded products. The end goal of my project is to add a layer in the lumber milling gameplay that gives a bonus for drying lumber in a kiln, so I'm just a sponge soaking up anything I can about how to manipulate the fill and pallet lists and gain a fluency with the way giants manages productions to give us lumberjacks a deeper experience. Either way, your videos have been immensely helpful (especially the detailed explanations on what certain parameters do), and I'm holding my breath waiting for the next one.
Thanks for the video. I've only been dabbling in modding for Farming Simulator since FS19. I've also repaired a lot of mods I've downloaded over the years from others to remove all errors/warnings from the log that were overlooked by the authors. (Bit of an OCD on my part since I don't like seeing them in the log) Most of this information is familiar to me, but it's always nice to have a refresher on some things since I only casually mod. One thing I'll point out, you changed your cycles of the production point which will make it produce faster at the specified cost. An alternative, or in addition to, you can adjust the input and output values to new desired numbers. I just did this with one of the greenhouses in FS25 because I felt it was going through water faster than I liked since I play solo and currently have seven of them. That's a lot of water trips with the current small water transport I have, so I halved the water consumption, among a couple other changes.
Thanks for all your great videos, the way you explain things clearly make it much easier to understand, but i still watch them a couple of times before i feel confident enough to try it. Please keep making these great videos your a star.
Another great video for beginners and an excellent refresher from 22. We need videos on everything lol you make the video and we will be here to watch. More specifically videos on scaling objects like wheels/tires both for vehicles and implements as well as scaling things for placeables. Again fantastic stuff and I’m excited to see what you have next.
By far, the best mod tutorial videos out there. I know a lot of the stuff already, but I enjoy watching your videos and picking up on little things that I may not know or different ways to do stuff.
Another great tutorial. I appreciate the time you spend editing and keeping your conetent on topic. So many other modding tutorials go off track making them more of a challenge to follow.
Please keep doing these! I literally just messed with trying to make a "level 2" small sawmill! I got it into my game and it works but I clearly have some errors. Thank you!
Great video, I need to get back to speed with my mods and the previous video was quite useful 👍 The only one point is that the rigid body type is not called Cinematic, it's called Kinematic 😊 I am also looking to join a modding team as there will be a lot of mods that need creating for FS25.

Animations as you mentioned would be cool, decals or retexturing. I might be jumping ahead in the learning process but would really enjoy learning to convert farm equipment to be US based.
Awesome! I'm currently struggling with getting my cowshed from blender to GE, it's my first mod, but I feel like there is missing so much info about creating placeables
Only question, you were going to add woodchips to this placeablez and ended up not doing so? How would you convert the sell station or add one for the bulk non pallet point?
yea, once we got to the 35 min mark, I had to stop. figured a Single video on adding Triggers and filltypes would be better. sorry about the confusing.
Its a very useful video, Starting to get my head around it now, I could edit capacity and speeds etc but this is even more detail than I could imagine. Can I ask a question though, If you were going to design and build a new tractor or implement how and where do you start? I am following this as I would love to be able to build a 3 point mounted 8m seeder/planter maybe multifruit. I know that's getting ahead of myself but that's where I am wanting to get too at some point. Thanks for the brilliant videos and the time your spending doing them.
Again, top notch! I have one question though, you probably already answered it but is it possible to mod a production you already own. I want to boost up my small sawmill. Its sooooooo freaking slooow
Yeah, if I would watch the next minutes of your video you did answer it. Guess I have to sell my mill and replace it with the molded one. So if I understood correctly every update to the mod you have to replace it at least when doing it this way. Gotcha 👌
Please show how to add tension straps to logging equipment like front loader log grapple and wheel loader log grapple. Would be a hugely popular mod idea since loading logs can be difficult sometimes.
Very nice work explaining some complex items. You just got yourself a new subscriber ! One of the biggest issues I am having in FS25 right now is understanding creating new pallets for my new productions. I had it down pat on FS22, and when I try to get them to work in FS25, the pallets show up on the ground with all of their textures intact, but they seem to be lacking collision as they have no substance and you can drive right through them. The logs say that I have to enable bit 16 in the editor for vehicle collisions, but I cant seem to get it working no matter what I do. You can also walk through all of the buildings I converted as well, So I know I must me missing something new here in the FS25 editor. Any tips or help would be awesome if you have encountered this conversion issue. thx
I cover this in one of my videos, not pallets per say but collisions briefly show how to edit those. Currently not around my pc for holidays, but hope that gets you started till I can come back
@@LAMBOMODS i know it is possible to change it out via the XML files but I would prefer to get a visual reference viua the in store customisation options. if that makes sense lol
When we get to Learn to convert a vehicle? I'm not completly new to converting mods but my vehicles doesnt have textures and i cant get to make it work. I even looked into the modding stuff.
There is alot of changes to code that I want to share. By doing so, we will understand what we are converting. I am taking a new modder approach for the first handful of videos. Make sure to sub to know when we finally get to converting.
How do I get a selling point added to my map I’m building? It’s been giving me a really hard time I can’t figure out what all to change in the store item and placeable xml 🙈
Thank you for the tutorials! I was hoping you could help me with an issue I’m encountering. Are you familiar with the bale and pallet storage bug? I understand this bug has already been reported and is expected to be addressed eventually, but in the meantime, I’m trying to fix it for my friend’s dedicated server. The fix works when I edit the main game file directly, but I can’t do that on the dedicated server. Specifically, I need to modify the /data/placeables/mapUS/objectStorage/objectStorage.i3d file at lines 107 and 108, which deal with spawnAreaStart01 and spawnAreaEnd01. The third number in the translation values for both is off by a few units. The issue I’m facing is that my changes don’t seem to take effect when I try to modify the file. Have you come across this problem before? Let me know if you need more details!
@@Caelik you need to make it a mod. Copying the i3d and xml. Good chance you did not either copy thr i3d to a new mods folder, or you forgot to direct the xml to the i3d under the base tag section.
@@LAMBOMODS I believe I’ve set everything up correctly, but to avoid cluttering the comment section, I’ll keep working on it. Thank you for your quick response!
We are going to cover that stuff.. long before we convert. People shouldn't convert anything till they understand the code they are trying to convert too. Makes it less stressful
That will be a while, as we are still fresh in this series. But if you search my channel, I have videos on blender from 22, the game changed, not blender :) Be warned, I did not have fancy editing software when I filmed some of those. So not alot of Zooms and special stuff
What have they change to got all this "restricted areas" that we did't have on FS22? Every building and tree has this area around them. Not nice to have to put placebles decorations one meter from the walls when it supposed to lean at them...
Eventually, I am currently filming it and will have lots of editing to do. Between now and then Ill be releasing more guides on understanding the code. Otherwise converting is gonna be a struggle for most
I dont do requests from general public, I have a long list to get done for patrons requests. We use those funds to buy or make the models. So I don't go broke bringing everyone's dream vehicle into the game.
I am currently working on a video, but there is many steps to convert. Its not easy without original blender file. It's best to teach how yo do those tasks, making lights, making collisions, etc first, then when we try to convert its alot more basic and not have to be so much info packed into 1 video. When converting, we should be using the new features and installing those code as well. If you stick with me, I'll do my best to simplify it.
