I mean character amount for money paid sure (although I can't say I've ever been a fan of games with a million characters and only 10% of the roster played. But yeah, back to the guests, as long as they're well designed and bring a new angle that isn't broken, I can't say I'm that upset with characters being guests. I mean, who was praying that Elena would return? If you're hoping for a specific SF character to come back, even 0% guests wouldn't increase the chances that significantly imo given the size of the pool they have to pick from.

I played Terry in KOF, Smash and I’m gonna play him in City of the Wolves. He’s one of the very few characters I like more than Ken so I can’t wait to try him out.

It's his Clone's body as Ed was supposed to be his new body. Plus he even used SF4 moves to show it's an older version of him, not the last one we saw when his move set evolved. Bison had a spare but was damaged in the fallout of SF5. He even used Psycho and Soul Power so this is what revived him.

Remember: They are FATAL FURY characters before KOF, and the specific choice for Mai design for her SF6 appearance reflect his as well: She uses her Real Bout Fatal Fury Special / RB2 attire, I bet $10, this will be reflected in their gameplay as well. Expect those two with some explosive moves, big projectiles, lots of target combos and some mechanics more akin to Real Bout / Fatal Fury than KOF.
Yeah, they could've done it without him. If they needed his moveset so badly, there are other ways to bring it back. But then again, Nash came back from the dead for no real story impacy . Street Fighter canon is basically a Saturday morning cartoon and probably best ignored.

Now if they brought back the old plane switching mechanic... Other than that, my only worry is for Mai's air dives. In KOF, you can use an air dive special while jumping backwards, but that is not so in SF. So I kinda wonder about Mai's attack angles if Capcom forces this aspect

He should have all the same moves as Akuma, but better. And also, there should be a SiRN Bison during a Giant Attack event. And next time, they've got to separate the labels with the release date info from the pictures of the characters. Having the last two characters reversed really confused a lot of people. There are already tons of people confused about when Winter 2025 is.
a gimmick i think could be fun and fitting for terry is to let him have level 1 and level 2 versions of his power geyser and buster wolf supers. to reference how its like in several of the games and would be a way to make terry unique while still keeping him a simple to pick up and play character.
I feel like it might be more fun to have the SNK characters be 4 buttons, but the unused buttons are for quick dodges in and out of the foreground and background like they could do back in the day. For balance, this should expend drive meter and possibly replace the parry and drive impact systems all together (so you must dodge within the frame window in order to get out of the way of an attack, or you take the hit and the dodge cannot be cancelled into from a normal)

Deejay's kneeshot is basically a short hop (sort of). So not too much of a stretch. We also saw Ibuki and CViper with super jumps in the past, so not entirely out of the question to have short hops and super jumps.

Other than that, my only worry is for Mai's air dives. In KOF, you can use an air dive special while jumping backwards, but that is not so in SF. So I kinda wonder about Mai's attack angles if Capcom forces this aspect

A hype mountain built less on anticipation of a new character but more on the relief, players, opponents, and spectators shared at the exclusion of a character widely believed to be highly offensive to all senses except smell. Hype levels arent expected to drop until after Terry is released and twitter becomes dominated by "nerf terry" messages which coincides perfectly with when i'll be binge drinking mtn dew and cleaning out the north american servers with burn knuckle.

a gimmick i think could be fun and fitting for terry is to let him have level 1 and level 2 versions of his power geyser and buster wolf supers. to reference how its like in several of the games and would be a way to make terry unique while still keeping him a simple to pick up and play character.
The most important thing is the fact that being in SF6 means Terry can finally speak proper english.

I feel like it might be more fun to have the SNK characters be 4 buttons, but the unused buttons are for quick dodges in and out of the foreground and background like they could do back in the day.
For balance, this should expend drive meter and possibly replace the parry and drive impact systems all together (so you must dodge within the frame window in order to get out of the way of an attack, or you take the hit and the dodge cannot be cancelled into from a normal)
A fast roll is way better than dodge

Deejay's kneeshot is basically a short hop (sort of). So not too much of a stretch. We also saw Ibuki and CViper with super jumps in the past, so not entirely out of the question to have short hops and super jumps.
I was concerned with the idea of revealing the entire dlc roster in one go, but now that I see it I am super hype.
