Have you had acai bowls?? 🍎
Yes they're so good

Looks delicious but you know that açaí is literally made of açaí right? Açaí is a realy common food here in Brasil, açaí is a mix of açaí juice with sugar ( sometimes without the sugar) and toppings that you can choose, but if theres no açaí on the açaí bowl, then it's not açaí.
I'm not trying to diseminate hate on your video or anything like that, i'm just saying that so anyone that has the curiosity, knows that in Brasil ( which is from where açaí comes from), that is not açaí.
Sorry if i offended anyone that may see this comment.
@@inventaumnomeai2015 in America, an açai bowl is a dense fruit and açai smoothie with toppings.
Açai is a fruit. It doesn't matter where it originated from, açai is açai. Just like a grape is a grape. There are hundreds of different recipes all over the world that utilize açai.
As a brazilian, it’s so weird for me to see that that’s what you guys consider an açaí bowl. I mean, there isn’t anything wrong with that, it looks delicious, but it’s definitely not açaí.
Not gonna tell us what an açaí bowl looks like and has in it in Brazil?
@@dreaminlayers it's pure açaí (sometimes there's some banana or guaraná)
And the toppings are not that healthy (it's a treat in here, not a healthy food), like condensed milk, powdered milk, crushed peanuts, coconut, chocolate, candies, granola, etc(not all at once obviously)
Right ! I’m from Suriname, I’m your neighbor above your country. Açaí here is so different, we make it more watery and it’s a real deep deep purple. We don’t add fruits or anything that was shown in the video ( some pep add brown sugar or some kind of yellow topping and that’s it ) We eat it like how the natives and runaway slaves ate it. I wouldn’t call this a açaí bowl at all ! I see a smoothie bowl with just a bunch of toppings. Açaí in my country is called podosiri.
@@livia9148 actually it depends, that’s how we eat açaí in the southern part of the country, cause in the north they eat it in a more liquid consistency and with no sugar, they eat it with fish and tapioca flour. both ways are delicious and a lot different than what they call an açaí bowl!
@@dreaminlayers actually it depends, in the southern part of the country we eat açaí as a dessert, with condensed milk, powdered milk and fruits, granola, etc (u can basically add whatever you want haha). in the north they eat it in a more liquid consistency and with no sugar, they eat it with fish and tapioca flour. both ways are delicious and a lot different than what you call an açaí bowl, but yours look good too!
I hate when I get ice cream or messy food in general and it's overflowing- u can't mix it up and it gets everywhere 😫
Me too! It’s the worst
Yess. When I was a kid I would always get a cup with my ice cream cone so I could eat an it without ice cream melting all over my hands.
Im the weirdo who never mixed anything, i didnt like how it looked, and i also want to know what im eating like idk lets say it has chocolate chips, sprinkles and some candy, i would just made a whole in the side and i would scop the ice cream and grab a bit of sprinkles and next bite something else, and if i felt like mixing I'd just scoop a tiny bit separately in the same spoon 😂😂
When I know where your pfp is from 😏
I always dig straight down then have room to mix!!
Or if you like something pre measured BUT want more topping do idea one and then eat some of the main part (usually yogurt in my case as I don’t like it too much) then mix so you don’t eat all the toppings !
For all saying that the bowl doesn't look dark enough... I think she chose pink pataya and just wasn't very clear about it because she thinks they are called açai bowls even when made with pataya/dragonfruit.
@Maria Alice Corrêa de Souza I realize this but it might be pretty normalized for her to consider them açai bowls even without the açai because I've heard a lot of people, at least here in the US, refer to smoothie bowls in general as açai bowls just because açai became so trendy here.
@Maria Alice Corrêa de Souza people do a lot of things that make no sense lol
@Maria Alice Corrêa de Souza it's America, we're ignorant to outside culture/foods and we never make sense. And we love hopping onto trends without having any knowledge
@@iiGORO333We don’t really learn much about other countries, the ignorance isn’t done out of malice! We simply don’t have anyone to really ask usually and the internet isn’t always reliable. We’re doing our best and most appreciate a gentle correction if we’re missing something
It looks just like a smoothie bowl , because açaí is really dark and has a mud texture, Brazilian opinion
It doesn't look like the traditional açaí, but to be honest eating as a desert (like I do) it's also not traditional, since it's originally eaten in savory dishes. Brazilians can be really protective of food 😅
Just like Italians with pasta and Nigerians with fufu
We are not protective of our food. We bastardize our own traditional dishes.
@@luanderson.ferreiraThere’s nothing wrong with changing up traditional food to better fit your taste 🤷 I hate that some people believe that it’s some horrible thing..as if their traditional food wasn’t ALSO a “bastardized version” of another older tradition
If the base of the smoothie component isn’t açaí, it’s not an açaí bowl. This one is a Pitaya bowl bc the base is dragon fruit.
...I always thought it's pronounced with a K sound. Today I learned! XD
I’ve heard people say it in so many ways!
No is with a "S" sound
the correct sound is an s sound, açaí is written with this type of c(ç) which in portuguese is always pronounced as an s
“ç” is “sss” as in garçon.
@@Jeanelleats a-ss-a-EE not a-ss-A-i
I love the genuine excitement in her voice as she talks about food.
There's no açaí there, my friends. That's ice cream, but I understand that it must be very rare to see "real açaí" outside Brasil.
Açaí ice cream suddenly got really common in the US in about 2016, I’m not sure why but yeah it’s all ice cream. It’s good though, I think pure açaí might be too strong of a flavor for a lot of Americans but I’ve never had it.
@@soniccookie655 I agree, it's probably an adaptation for American market. Indeed açaí taste might be too strong for north americans, and also it's probably expensive. It makes sense too turn into an ice cream. We also have açaí "Ice cream" here(in Brazil), but this one on the vid is way too pale.
@@soniccookie655 we see açaí usually with a deep purple color, even the ice creams.
@@VitorHugo-zq8sc Yeah there was a deeper one briefly in the vid too (that looked thicker) that is more like what I see.
@Isabel Moraes fato
*cries in peanut and tree nut allergy* that’s my one gripe with açai bowls from shops! Always with the allergens :’)
They look so beautiful and delicious though ah!!! I usually just make my own ~
Looks delicious, but I would really need a "bowl" bowl for that. I don't want to pay for something and it ends up splattered everywhere. No ma'am.
Why would it get splattered? 😅 You’re sitting down eating it..
Well if anyone lives in or near New Jersey i HIGHLY recommend going to the honey post it’s so good and aesthetic they have a boho/modern theme with so many green plants and they also have 3 fish with super funny names if u want to know the names you’ll have to go there 10/10 best place ever
In florida, there are restaurants everywhere called Grain and Berry. They have DELICIOUS açaí bowls and some other tasty things there like smoothies, flatbreads, and a lot more, and all of it is healthy
Congratulations 🎉 on 25 K! You are doing it. Can’t wait for you to reach the next milestone
You are too kind - thank you so much!! I am growing because of people like you 🥰
@@Jeanelleats keep growing, your doing well.
yeah i get the apple thing, they don't really work with soft fruit, but by themselves they're great
I don't care if this looks like strawberry ice cream. The fact that you pronounced açaí as close as it actually is pronounced got me in tears ✋🥺😂😂
I have a few places in my small town that do açaí bowls…. They are shameful compared to this. These look so delicious
It’s sad that is really hard to find “real açai” outside of Brazil, really hope that yall can try our açai lol
It’s just a thick smoothie
I like your funny words magic woman
I make something similar at home and for some reason, I can barely finish a quarter of that bowl! Idk why but I think the grains and everything make it so filling!
I’ve been wanting to try these shops, I haven’t stayed in Cali long enough to and until recently, most of my friends considered these “lame vegan” lol
not a very practical way to serve it comparing the amount of yummy topping to the acai, they should make a wider bowl.
Your voice and inflection is like a Disney character. In a good way
Looks
Deliciously 😋 😋
Healthy
It reminds me of acai bowl in bloxburg ngl btw it looks tasty😋
I'm eating one while watching. Feels good
i bet its like 13 dollars / cup lmao
It would be lmao. Getting all toppings is factored into the price. Anything less is more gain for them.
Fruit is Uber expensive of course it would cost $10+
@Maria Alice Corrêa de Souza 13 dollars(which is almost 75 reais) for that “açaí bowl”? Yeah, that’s expensive af.
I’m pretty sure these are $7 or $8 for the smallest size (which is pretty filling)
As a Brazilian this hurts my heart
O açaí do gringo é tão estranho mds
omg I live in Long Beach, I’ve never been to a place like this but I LOVE making my own açaí bowls in the mornings🤣🤤❤️
I'd feel healthy as HECK after eating one of those
it looks so good ^^ probably can not afford it though-
I wish they started using reusable containers to serve it. 🌱
I tried one and it was too sweet!
Is no one gonna talk about how perfectly that worker sliced that banana 😲
Must have blueberries and bananas on my açaí bowl! ❤
I go there all the time lol it’s bomb
Fr
I love these bowls! 🍓🫐🍯
Meanwhile me just sitting here awkwardly being allergic to hemp thinking yeah I'll just pass on that thanks
loookssss sooooo yummmyyyyy
That cream was like...XD 😂😂
I am so jealous 😭😆
Unpopular opinion: i hate toppings on anything soft but ice cream. I can’t stand the texture of eating something soft and creamy like açai or a smoothie and then crunching into granola or a raspberry. I like to appreciate the flavors on their own ig. Its an unexplainable quirk 😂
I totally understand! I hate when things come with sprinkles and stuff that I didn’t ask for. I jokingly say I’m a texture eater. Most of the foods I don’t like is due to texture.
Someone who gets me☺🤗
That doesn't make any sense given the fact you actually like toppings on ice cream.
I WANT THIS IN MY COUNTRY 😭😍💕
Yeasss omg now I'm craving this again lol. We have a few shops around here that has Acai bowls :)
You can definitely make it at home. Looks good
THAT LOOKS SO GOOD
Woww i love it.
Wish I lived where things like this were
They serve small ones this one look big ❤
looks like dragon fruit... definitely not açaí !!!
I really want to have one now but never seen it where I live.
I like the pitaya bowls. I get them every weekend at work 😍😋The açaí gives me heart burn.
Same! I like cruchy foods like nuts/seeds! But I don't like the texture of apples
Blue bowls😳
I like how there’s a bluebee in the strawberries
I want one🤤🤤🤤
Yummmm
YUMMM
Yuuuuum
can u do more acai bowl oat meal recipe videos
Yummy
I want!!!!
Oh my God. I need this.
What is the liquid purple stuff you topped the acai bowl with? Is it an additional smoothie, yoghurt, cream? Pls tell me
Açaí makes my throat close up sooo….
can you make lumpiang shanghai?
escribano Smart Buy
Eu não achei o açaí nesse negócio, gente, cadê?
In my opinion, acai should be eaten as a raw material alone, in my opinion, you can add salt to enrich the minerals, in the past I drank a Van Gogh bottle with acai flavor at a party and its taste is very reminiscent of a fruity combination of grapes and watermelon
Honey ginger syrup🤤🤤🤤
Vitamins 😍
Man where is this at again I needa go there
Wow you eat so healthy
Hemp seeds what didn't know ppl eat the seeds lol
Whats the shops name
Wait, you're from Long Beach? I miss there so much 😞
I am from the place that açai comes from and the way you eat is weird here we just add some sugar and our açai is black without milk.
THATS A PITAYA BOWL MAAAN
Yeah she got a pitaya bowl but they do have açaí
Wait did you say Long Beach? Like Cali, long beach
Lol people in the comments are like “my small town doesn’t have good açaí bowls”. My town is so small if I want any sort of “trendy” food like boba, pho, ramen, smoothie bowls, etc. I have to drive 45 minutes to the nearest city.:’)
Look at the ones in Australia. It’s a dessert now 💀
"We get acai bowls every weekend as a special treat" sounds like something ultraconservatives would say when they're shitting on California.
I’m confused by this comment.
@@soniccookie655 you're not the only one.
@@soniccookie655 I'm saying it's the most "California-Hipster" thing I've ever heard, and I'm pretty sure hard-righters would use it to make fun of Californians if "avocado toast" wasn't easier for them to say.
The right way to write is "açaí"
@@alt1f4 yes it is, but most English speakers don't know how to type a cedilla, or set up an international keyboard set that lets them, or they just don't feel like it. So just "c" usually suffices.
i was at this exact place three weeks ago, this is in the long beach exchange right? awesome place
I'm sorry...I lost it at Blue Bowls 🔵 and Nut Butters 🥜
Finally someone who doesn’t like apples either
I always thought ot was pronounced uhkeye. Thank you for this lmao.
which country are you based in Canada?
my wallet hurts just watching this
❤
So a fancy yogurt parfait?
Why no one talking about the way he cuts the banana
What is acai
That açaí is too liquidity
Let me get some
Duck and I
what is the name of this place?
Had a blue bowl last time and it was not good for me. I would rather eat my
smoothie bowl 🤣
Blue? That was definitely not açaí. The one in this video isn’t açaí either. Your blue bowl thing was probably a blueberry smoothie bowl.
@@icethepolarbear Blue bowl is actually the name of the store where I had the acai bowl! They have many stores in the west coast area.
