@@Outside_The_Wall dude, I actually agree with you for the most part…but honestly, Covid IS real (even if it’s mild for most people), and those who catch it and are immunocompromised can get seriously sick. I’ve seen it in an otherwise healthy 33 year old man. She was being reckless by carelessly joking about it and potentially even spreading it to more people. Not to mention, there is a shortage of tests across the us (mainly rapid tests), and for her to even have the privilege and access to take one “as a joke” says SO much about her character (or lack thereof). I found out after having major symptoms of covid. It was pretty obvious I had it and my stepdad had it about a week to two weeks before I did. I ended up losing my sense of smell, my skin was sensitive, and I was very light-headed. Oh yeah! The first week I was sick, I had a fever that wouldn't break

Pissed me off so I get it.
OK so the reason this triggered me is because she did the test wrong. If you make a PCR-Test you have to go quite far back the throat because that's where the mucous membrane is. It is uncomfortable for most people yes but just swiping the swab on the person's tongue will literally not detect anything even if the person would be infected with Corona.
That's what triggered me. They didn't do it right.
There are also tests that you do through the nostrils but that one only is valid for 24h. At least that's how it is in Germany.
I hope it's clear now why that triggered me 😊💕

Tongue swabs aren't as accurate and I've heard alot of officials in my town recommend not getting testing with out symptoms or you could get a false positive. I always found the false positive an interesting notion, but these things do happen.
What's the best way to get a negative or false negative.
Incorrect. They have high specificity, lower sensitivity meaning more false negatives and very few false positives. Dont waste resources but do get tested if you are concerned because it increases your chances of preventing asymptomatic or presymptomatic spread. Lots of institutions (like my public health university) requires weekly asymptomatic tests to prevent spread completely, but this isn’t an entirely realistic goal for the average person, we can just do it because we can run the tests in house

You are not supposed to touch the sides of your mouth or your tongue when doing a PCR test, it's the back of the throat and the nostrils that you're supposed to do.

Only get the pcr nasal swabs they are more accurate than the rapid test or oral swabs, they are less likely to present any errors like false negatives or false positives
A false negative is more common than a fals positive, just saying

RT-PCR is more sensitive than rapid tests but can pick up cell free RNA in the aftermath of an infection. If you can come up with a better test for stuff measured in nanometres feel free.

I’m glad you got tested in this case. Though if you don’t need a test don’t get tested, testing centers where I live in Massachusetts are operating over maximum capacity because the staff keep getting infected and there aren’t enough of them.

My son was born with stage 2 asthma and when he was 1 year old and at his doctor's appointment for his asthma treatment he almost died from an asthma attack then in 2020 when we were ALL tested positive for COVID I swear my whole heart skipped a beat when his test came back positive crazy part is 3 of us had NO symptoms 🙏 to everyone who has COVID I pray for a healthy recovery

A virus wants to infect as many people as possible and it cannot do that if its host is dead, so i think that it will become more contagious but its symptoms will become tamer.

This woman tested so differently!! I remember doing a PCR and I was told to do the back of my throat and avoid the tongue as much as possible or else the test could go wrong. In here, she’s seen rubbing that test stick left, right, bottom and top of that tongue. I also remember that I got my covid result scanned along with my NHS ID and it was put into a cardboard box and not the back of a van

That's how the test made by Curative was done. I was forced to work at those sites several times, and those are the instructions we have to people. Your government tax dollars at work.
The oral test by Curative has been discontinued though. It wasn't accurate enough and was having many false positives and false negatives.

Needing to be tested is absolutely no one. The only thing anyone needs to do is socially distance and seek medical attention if necessary. By not letting it burn through the population it can not burn out, that leaves a lot of time for it to mutate, an infinite amount of time to be exact.

How does that mess with the results? Isn’t it either covid virus positive or not? Covid is in people’s mouths noses lungs etc. so if its in there its everywhere.
All of your sinuses are connected and much of Covid is spread thru coughing and saliva spraying out of our mouths. It makes no sense not to test saliva in my opinion.

@@SoulSearching1983 COVID is present in the saliva on your tongue would be extremely diluted compared to your nose/back of throat. Meaning a false negative is way more likely

Exactly my thought. The only way to get a covid test in my area is if you either go to the emergency room or wait in a line for 5 hours with the possibility of them running out before you can get to the front

We’ve had to take 3 tests at one point and not once did they show consistent results. First was a negative, 3 days later it was positive, and 3 days after that it was negative. And now my brother is sick and I am not. Only getting negatives from me

Where I live we are talking about 5 day quarantines, and also some tests say that 5 days after the beginning of symptoms the test might not show it anymore. So it is possible that you got covid and got cured before the next test🤔

My Cousin asked me to go with her to get a Pregnancy test done at a Women's clinic. Her test was negative. I decided to get one done and mine was positive. I had my Baby on July 18th and she had hers on July 20th. 😂
