  • A Virgin Australia Airbus A330-200 departing fro Adelaide airport on a lovely sunny day.
This aircraft was flying from Perth to Melbourne, when just prior to its landing it circled above Portland for a short time then diverted to Adelaide (I am unsure of the exact reason for the circling and diversion) After a short time on the ground, it then departed for the one hour hop to Melbourne.

Adelaide don't get that much big planes except Singapore a330, Malaysia a330 and Emirates 777-300er AND I don't think Virgin Australia a330 usually come to Adelaide on the 737-800 I don't know I come from Sydney anyway I loved the video keep up the effort loved the video keep them coming

It looks that it was on a bit of cross-wind or wind shear.

Still stuck with the a330s? I really am hoping for Adelaide to get a 777 or a380 route, after all it's Australia's 4th largest city! Excellent video mate and a big like from me!

Tom Osborn yeah i know about the 10pm daily emirates 777, but as demand for Adelaide from UAE grows so does the aircraft size, emirates not having a 747 it may sprout into a larger such as the a380-800, I think were we got mixed up was at the 777 DAY service not a nighttime service when all you can see is the lights

AussieAircraft98 Hopefully one day we get larger aircraft, probably won't be long till we see some A330's or 787's. At least this A330 was different to what we normally get

AussieAircraft98 Id also wager that we will go to double 777 flights before an A380. The flight at the moment is timed so that it gets back to Dubai just on dawn and early enough so as to catch the connecting flights to Europe with minimal delay. A second flight will probably be a morning arrival and departure on a few days of the week, similar to what Singapore Airlines does
